We saw him take down a squirrel, unalive it, and fly away with it. I didn't know they could do that! I thought they were all fluff and feathers, limited to mice, birds and frogs, but I guess not. Beautiful, though, isn't he (or she)? A great barred owl.

Okay but yall look almost exactly like my husband and I in this!! My husband is sharp featured and thin with the elegant nose, and I am dark headed, curly, and slightly shorter than him. I love this!

Thank you. She's incredibly healthy, and is capable of catching her toys in the air. The main thing I was worried about was that I'd let her get fat and unhealthy. She gets no human food, just kibble, and I spend the money for good stuff. It's always available to her, so she has no hangups about it. She eats when she's hungry. I had chicken nuggets for dinner tonight, and she lay against me, washing herself. I'm thrilled at how well she is. She's nearly an adult, and her coat is still amazingly soft. And of course I never spoil her with far more mousie toys and socks than she needs!

Thank you. My daughter found it leaning against a dumpster. It's original. I did research on the artist. He was known for reflective water. Painted all over the Netherlands and Italy. If you go by his known painting time-line, this puts it at around 1904-1907. I absolutely love it

Oh and the actual "rack", more of a stand really, is a gum tree burl I hollowed out and drilled some holes in for the spears. Then I stained it with a mix of grass tree resin and rubbing alcohol which makes a nice varnish.
