I Turned Myself Into A 3D-Printed Miniature So I Could Capture Miniature Worlds

I always wanted to know what it would look like if I was a tiny photographer in a big big world, so I went to a 3D scanner company and got my body scanned and 3D-printed the result.

Now I can shoot my mini photographer while he captures the world around him.

The video shows how I managed to turn myself into a mini photographer

This is how I scanned my body

Here’s the 3D model the scan created

My name is Aelita and I have been an Editor for Bored Panda since 2019. I spend my days working with my amazing team and making articles the best they can be. Fantasy and magic have always ruled over my world, from movies to TV shows, to Video Games to tabletop games like Dungeos and Dragons, I try to find magic in every part of my life. Writing is a big part of me too, I hope to publish a fantasy novel one day. I also enjoy playing guitar and singing, as music always help me to get in a great mood. I have an adorable German Shepherd named Hela and we get into all kinds of adventures together.

Whoa, which studio did you visit? I looked at the prices online and I don't think I can afford this at the moment😭. I make miniatures and I love how the 3d printed mini you turned out!

It kind of depends what size of figure you want. I got one of me in my S.H.I.E.L.D. agent cosplay done at a comic con about six years or so ago. It stands about 10cm tall (including the base), and cost me something like £60 ($80) at the time. There was a lady ahead of me who got one done of her two young sons, that cost around £100 ($135).
