Biker Club Pays Respects To The Christchurch Victims By Performing An Emotional Haka Dance
On March 15, 2019, the world’s been shaken by the heartless terror attack in Christchurch, New Zealand, when a shooter opened fire on unsuspecting Muslims during Friday Prayer. The attacks that took place at the Al Noor Mosque and at the Linwood Islamic Centre, and took 50 lives, leaving 50 other injured. Far-right extremism, white supremacy and Islamophobia are reported to be the main motives of the deadliest mass shooting in modern New Zealand history.
Since the horrific attack on Friday, there have been many discussions raised and a few incidents, like Will Connolly, better known as Egg Boy, cracking an egg on Senator Fraser Anning’s head. But among hundreds of words and opinions, stand the survivors and families of the victims that have to deal with tremendous loss, and luckily, there are millions of people in the world and support them and condemn not only the attacker’s actions, but also the reasons behind it.

In Christchurch, people have been paying tributes since Friday, leaving notes, flowers and toys near Al Noor mosque. On Sunday the 17th, a biker gang decided to pay their respects to the victims by performing the Haka, a traditional Māori ceremonial dance.

“We’re here to express our love, sadness that this has happened here in our community. This is all our community.” one of the members of Mangu Kaha Aotearoa said before the bikers started their rendition of the Haka.

The Haka is a traditional ceremonial dance or challenge in Māori culture. It’s been known in pop culture with such examples as Jason Momoa performing it at the “Aquaman” premiere or his Game of Thrones audition. The dance is performed on special occasions, including funerals.

Share on FacebookPlease (non-Muslims) find your local Mosque and take them a sympathy card. If you can, flowers, and if you can offer emotional support. I have just met some lovely new friends doing this. And they seemed to really appreciate it.
Load More Replies...Yeah, what about the 2,400 people killed this year by muslim terrorists..... Guess they don't really matter.
Load More Replies...It is nice to see people from all walks of life come together in support of a country in need. My heart goes out to New Zealand.
Just heard the Prime Minister of NZ saying she will never speak the shooter's name, as he wants notoriety. She said, we will take even his name from him. Great idea. Speak the victims' names, their lives--let the shooter disappear into oblivion
His name is Brenton Tarrant. He is a hero and will never be forgotten. What he did was a good start.
Load More Replies...Just FYI, we call these guys gangs in New Zealand, not bikers. Hardly ever see them on motorbikes.
For those who find this heart-warming, you might be interested that there was a lot of support in New Zealand for the water protectors in Standing Rock (there and in many other countries). A large group of Maori did the Haka for Standing Rock: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oCVg3Av6uRQ. What for the kids starting half-way through. They are really putting their heart into it.
Yesterday, just two days after the mass murder, the NZ legislature banned assault weapons and barred those with racist or Nazi affiliations/offenses from entering the country from abroad.
I know we're awesome, but even we can't change our gun laws that fast.
Load More Replies...Thank you guy's for performing the Haka and the beautiful tribute at the start I live in Scotland but since Fridays madness I stand shoulder to shoulder with my Muslim brothers and sisters if we all stand together then the extremists will never ever win peace and love to you all in this very dark time for humanity
Brings me to tears. Side to side, back to back, we are with you. Such a powerful way, to show both respect, and solidarity, by bringing one culture, to another, in front of the world.
Muslims don't have respect for Christians! The quran commands them to hate us. For a muslim it's forbidden to have "infidels" as friends - fact!
Load More Replies...I don't know if you guys will read this, but I wanted to say thank you for all the other peace loving different religion types around the world. I was raised roman Catholic, however, I've found truths in every religion, only not in "The Church" or other large organisations. Thank you thank you thank you for giving the survivors that gift of your hearts and privacy. I live three continents away. I don't want them to feel like they're not wanted. The ones who aren't wanted are the ones who only find their God in hate and not love.
Hello John Cross I totally agree with you. This is a very frightening situation. It's OK to burn down churches with worshippers inside, attack busses with Christians going to a pilgrimage, drive trucks through Christmas markets or other public places, so why no world-wide up rise?
This is not a bike club! Its Black Power, one of the biggest gangs in NZ. https://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/news/article.cfm?c_id=1&objectid=12213564. Please fact check before posting 💕 Arohanui from Aotearoa

Funny how you never see muslims doing something like this after a terrorist attack..... Where was all the muslims coming out and saying anything about the suicide bombing in Mogadishu on March 23, or in Lashkargah, Afghanistan when muslim terrorists set off a bomb in a staduim on March 23, or on March 21 when three bombs set by muslims went off in Kabul, Afghanistan, or the 6 police officers killed by muslisms in Sanjawi on March 20. All of those happened after Christchurch, but for some odd reasons, we never hear about those. But when a terrorist attack happens and muslims aren't the ones doing it for once, every thing has to stop.
Christ À what about what has taken place in the Western part of the world? Have you already forgotten about all the terrorists attacks here in Europe, USA, Australia,? In Egypt all the terrorists attacks against innocent tourists how could you forget?
Load More Replies...The HAKA gives me the chills every single time I see it performed. I praise the NZ leadership for not mentioning that idiot's name in the press. If ours only could have followed suit, but that's not the media works here in the U.S.
This is so touching to watch EVERYONE should be able to practice there religion in peace ,my heart goes out to all involved
Awesome. It'd be great if our gangs cared enough about their community's to stop selling crystal meth though.
Most Biker gangs here protect the military and their families, small children that are being threatened and neighbors that are afraid to come out of their homes. They will stand guard at military funerals to protect the family of slain soldiers from those that seek to defile the ceremony with political riots. They escort children that are being bullied and threatened at school. They help neighborhoods by standing watch and working with police to apprehend the criminals. Give me a law abiding biker gang any day..and God help the criminal that gets on their bad side.
This is beautiful in so many ways! The white people came to New Zealand to conquer it, but now they respect the Maori culture and identify with it. The creep who shot the people said he wanted to protect his land from "invaders" forgetting that his ancestors were the invaders...
A lot of the coverage has been "loss of innocence" etc and it nauseates me slightly. Anyone without their head in the clouds has been well aware there are hateful people in our beautiful country (NZ) since forever. There are plenty who will complain loudly (but anonymously in news site comments) every time a street name is changed to a Maori one, or at the suggestion that Maori language should be compulsory in schools. To say the people identify with the Maori culture is not true of many. But the majority of us don't take much notice of the race or religion (if we know it) of our neighbours and just want to get along. Our kids all learn to sing the national anthem in Maori and it is sung first before it is sung in English and it sounds beautiful, but we still have a lot of moaners who somehow feel threatened by this.

This includes the tens of thousands of Christian victims, killed by muslims in their own home country, on a daily basis as well?!
Load More Replies...Oh calm down Var a**s. They are a blight, I agree, but they are generally only a blight on each other, those they associate with and drug users. The police do need to crack down on the drugs in this country more though. Too much meth ruining lives.
Load More Replies...I have seen the outpouring of love from Muslims in the UK when things like this have happened, but the media does tend not to give it much coverage for some reason. I suspect it isn't easy when there is so much hate that, if they went out in support, they feel like they're putting themselves in danger after such an attack. This is because many blame ALL Muslims when ONE does something wrong, while hardly anyone blames ALL white people when something like Christchurch happens.
