Twitch Streamer Wakes Up After Sleeping For 3 Hours, Finds 200 People Watching Him

But if you have, chances are you probably remember the scene where people from all over the world were glued to their screens, watching Truman Burbank sleep. Well, the same has just happened on a live streaming video platform called Twitch.

36-year-old streamer Jesse had fewer than 1,000 followers but that changed overnight when the man drifted into an accidental nap. More than 200 people tuned in to watch, donating money and waiting for him to wake up.
“I usually stream games,” Jesse told Bored Panda. “But I like to have a chill streaming from my couch stream once in a while where people can just come by and hang out and just have a conversation.”

“Prior to me falling asleep, the session had been going just like any other,” he added. “A few visits from people and I’m not sure if anyone actually chatted.” But then Jesse drifted away.

Viewers and donations started growing. “It wasn’t too much but to me, it was a lot.”

Well, Twitch is a platform generally frequented by very young people. And someone 36 y.o. can be easily called "Dad"...
It may be because he’s a pleasant, positive influence to them. And seeing as how he’s a male, they might associate him with being like a nice dad. (I don’t know much about him. Just an assumption!!)
My guess is it is the same reason people call women mom because they are saying “you give me life” it is weird. Although they might just be comparing it to how dads like to nap on the couch without warning ?? Who knows what goes in in Peoples heads sometimes
