Most parents would love a little time off every once in a while to relax and unwind without having to run after their children. Sometimes this can be possible with a family member or friend babysitting, but it shouldn’t be presumed that they’ll always be available as free childcare.

Unfortunately, this is exactly what one man experienced because his spoiled younger sister kept dropping off her kids at his place and treating him like a backup parent. Eventually, when it began interfering with his job, he took strict action.

Although having family members and friends act as babysitters once in a while can be extremely helpful, experts say it’s important not to constantly pressure them to help out. If they say yes a few times, it doesn’t mean that they’re always available to act as childcare, and this is what parents need to understand.
