My sweet young niece asked me when my summer break starts. I told her regular working adults don't have summer break. I think I just crushed her world.

Even if i did have all the breaks like in school i would still have to do the cleaning, laundry and whatnot, adulthood is never getting a real break;)

In my case: 1. Excitement - Yay! I love karaoke!; 2. Anxiety - Wait... What if they all wanna sing just ballads?!; 3. Just going with it - Whatever... They may sing funeral music as much as they like, me, I'm gonna fulfil my task (even if I end up being the only clown amongst the "oh, so wonderful voices"); 4. Conclusion - Wow! We should do it more often / Okay, never gonna go to karaoke with THIS crew again...

If you work with something advanced or specialized though it can be really hard to explain what you do to ppl outside of the business.
