Girl Has Her Fashion Designs Stolen By Another Student, Devises A Plan To Humiliate Her With Bait
If you’re willing to do the crime, get ready to do the time. And then pay the price. However, one fashion student from South Korea — let’s call her Jane — thought she would get away with stealing her coursemate’s — we’ll name her Grace — design. But she didn’t. After getting robbed of her hard work, Grace devised the perfect revenge plan that made Jane do the time (humiliate herself in front of a huge crowd) and pay the price (get expelled). Continue scrolling to find out how the mastermind did it and let us know in the comments if you think the punishment is just.

After Reddit user sgy0003 shared the story, it immediately went viral, generating over 12,000 upvotes on r/ProRevenge. As for the payback, well, most think it’s well-deserved.
“Yeah, and also it’s very satisfying reading that the disgusting chairman was also replaced by someone that was much better at doing their job,” one commenter said. “Brilliant! Grade ‘A’ revenge,” another one added.
r/ProRevenge has been featuring similar stories since November 2012. During the years, its community has been constantly growing and currently unites over 990K members.
No wonder that number is so big. According to Karyn Hall, the director and owner of the Dialectical Behavior Therapy Center, revenge seems to be one of the deepest instincts we have. It’s is a form of establishing justice, a form of protection, a kind of enforcement of social cooperation.
Here’s what people said about the whole ordeal
Not exclusive to Korea, it happens in China all the time. Students intending to study overseas are amazed when told that plagiarism is not tolerated in western universities and will result in expulsion.
Wait, did you see that Gumball episode the copycats;
Load More Replies...Sometimes I read about a revenge that seems excessive, but this is just right. Grace did nothing wrong. Based on Jane's previous theft Grace simply made available some bait. Jane took the hook and then played the entitlement/victimhood game, where she should get everything she wants and if she doesn't then she's a victim. Given her lack of study and work Jane should have flunked out anyway. And her corrupt father needed to be replaced.
Oh good, more public shaming. I will get the tar if you have the feathers. My pitchfork is sharpened.
The shame was 100% earned when Jane and her father did corrupt things to advance their own interests. Grace was the victim, but had the grace not to play that care. As for Jane, she tied herself to the pole and eagerly applied a coat of tar and feathers all by herself. Public shaming for bad actions has been a social tool used to hold people accountable for centuries and in lots of cultures. It is appropriate when the sins don't arise to a legal level. In fact, it's a big part of social accountability.
Load More Replies...I don''t quite understand WHY someone would plagiarize so much. Is that degree just decor? Becuase if you want to actually work in the real work, you need to learn your craft. And you can't do that by copying - and copying so stupidly, too.
The worst thing is that many Asian students who come to study in Australia seem to think that the same thing will go here. They do nothing in their classes and then ask their tutors/lecturers how much it will cost to get a good pass. Mostly they don't play the pay-for-grades game but occasionally it happens and for the teachers who get these no-hopers afterwards it's a total mystery how they passed classes below the one they're now in. They also have no concept of intellectual property and regard assignments which they've paid to have written by someone else as 'their' work because they paid for it. Sometimes it's blatant dishonesty and would be in any Asian society; sometimes it's a genuine case of different ethics. Either way, it's bloody annoying to have to deal with.
It happens in Hollywood movies, too. I worked on many major movies. On one such film, I designed and sculpted three main props. It took three months. A painter on set asked me If she could work under me, but be paid by the art department. I said sure. She worked for two to three days adding things to the giant prop, articles I already created. When the movie came out for the cast and crew screening, my name was nowhere to be found, not for designing or sculpting. Guess who got my credit. Guess who slept with the production designer?
Gee, sounds a lot like my country (USA)! We even have a president like Jane right now.
This whole story sounds incredibly fake...i work in the industry and went to fashion school. Regardless, a professor wouldn't scheme with a student to humiliate another one in any school - and if they did they should be fired- doesn't matter how 'evil' another student is. Also the "judges" wouldn't call out the copycats like that AND if Jane was in fashion school she wouldn't be so oblivious to what was currently trending - we literally had to tale classes on what was currently trending and in stores, it would be impossible for her not to know regardless of how lazy she was. This whole thing reads as b******t
Also: Jane copies Grace. Grace realizes that. Grace continues to allow Jane to copy. Jane doesn't find it weird Grace still allows copying?

She didn't get into architecture school, but she took it humbly and applied for business school. Jane was spoiled, whereas my colleague's daughter was allowed to make her mistakes quickly and quietly.
i dont understand, why Jane pushed herself into design stuff.. because in industry, creativity its not about grade.. its about your imagination and hard work..
Some people are drawn to perceived glamour, especially when young.

Sick of abusive people like this. Covid wont last forever so I hope this designer Grace is able to keep her faith strong and designing skills sharp. Paris will be there when this is over.
I've never understood this; if you cannot do the job, why get a fake degree? The minute you're hired it will be obvious you cannot follow through!
Just had a bunch of celebrities get busted buying their kids way into college. Jail time, too. Everyone says prison, but that's for felonies with over 364 days or more.
This is a reupload from one of the cheezeburger sites, but they could have picked it up on r/thathappened
......And then everybody clapped? Seriously though, I love BP but they get most of their stuff from reddit. I see something on there and 2 days later, it is on here.
Load More Replies...... or Grace could have just initially told Jane what she did was hurtfully wrong and left her in the dust knowing that her lack of talent and motivation would have eventually caught up with her. Instead, she invested much time and energy to what end? Shaming her? Humiliating her? Petty, catty, and kinda stupid.
Believe me what Grace have done is nothing compared to what Jane and her father does every day. Their influence and money outweigh us so much; Jane eventually would've graduated and with her father's money, she would've hire designers like Grace and make her own fashion line. That was the plan. This is always the plan when it comes to rich kids and their carriers.
