Everyone is different and can't be good at everything.sometimes no matter how hard we try at something it just happens to be more challenging than it is for someone else. For me as a receptionist, I personally have a hard time dealing with when a customer starts screaming at me over the phone. It catches me off guard and my mind blanks.

What is something at your job that you struggle with?

OP here. I will start:
I am not good at handling screaming irate customers over the phone.

It catches me so off guard and my mind blanks completely, and I don't know what to say. I start stuttering and it makes the situation worse because the customer starts attacking harder when they know they have overwhelmed you. Its a power dynamic. Customers being irate in front of me, no problem! I have like 6 years of retail under my belt and have no problem in those situations. I have been in reception for a little bit over a year and have no idea why this situation is so hard for me over the phone vs in person.

I’ve just started a new role and I’m struggling as I’m no good at the technology stuff, and hate feeling so useless all the time. I’d like nothing more than to be able to help customers more on the phone but my brain just isn’t wired that way so if someone calls with a technical issue I could at times just sit and cry. I keep telling myself it will get easier but I don’t really believe me
