I Create Animal Sculptures From Resin Inspired By Miyazaki Creatures

I’m a french artist born in Paris in 1979. Being very interested in the living world, I first studied biology. Then I quickly turned to art by discovering all the freedoms of possible interpretations. I also raised animals like goats and llamas and worked on emotions in energy psychology.

My current artistic work is the result of all these experiences. I create characters who are for me like benevolent, gentle and sensitive deities, of whom I love to surround myself. I chose to use the resin because it requires a very long and meticulous sanding which becomes like caresses.

For weeks, sometimes months, I take care of them like little babies. The shapes become soft and rounded. I seek to stimulate affect and empathy in the viewer. These characters evoke the manga universe, Miyazaki creatures, traditional Japanese statuary.
