been hiking at La vanoise (Mt Blanc can be seen from La vanoise), and i attest that this is a cool hiking area. on a side note be careful if you plan to go there will small kids. some paths are good for kids, but some are way too steep for them. not alpinism, but clearly not suited for little kids. I'm not saying hiking with little kids can't be done at la vanoise. but some hiking paths are clearly dangerous. and also be aware that mountain bike is globally not well welcomed there. simply to preserve the calm of the hikers
