Jane Goodall. She handles incredibly tough situations with absolute grace. She started an organization that helps the African people work with nature, by paying citizens to keep the trees on the land, instead of cutting them down for corporate cattle grazing.
Jane Goodall is an icon. She was part of my "women in science" project back at uni.
Honestly, the person who inspired me the most is a character I have in a book I'm writing. He is so accomplished at everything he does, looks out for everyone around him, and honestly, my future job is going to be based on something he creates in the book. I might not be able to do as much as him, or I may not be as intelligent, but he still inspires me.

A while ago, I went to a bowcraft camp. A week in the woods with around 20 kids, carving and learning to use bows. Aside from it being the best week of my life, I met a few people there who I'm close friends with. One of them was called Finn (if you're on this site somehow, hi finno! Good luck on your trebuchets). He was like the chillest guy imaginable, the definition of dumb and funny. He's a year older than me but he was willing to chill with a hyper, sleep-deprived thirteen year old. I was in a friend group that formed there of four people, me (high-energy and funny dumbass who's great at making bad decisions and is very clumsy) my best friend who I'll refer to as S (a bit younger than me, little weird gremlin) another friend who ill call M (a year younger than me, pretty immature, and crazy energetic and impulsive). M and S both bring out the worst in me which I love, but Finn, the moment I first heard him talking to people, was the subject of huge admiration on my part. He's funny, kind in a dumb and harmless way, and he's willing to vibe with anyone in a really sweet way. He's also incredibly mature for someone who builds trebuchets and puts his hands in stinging nettles on purpose. I can't believe that he actually befriended someone like me, although I guess that's just my charisma and natural charm. Back when this camp was happening, I was pre-transition and thought that I was a demigirl/genderfae. I'm pretty sure that Finn was the reason I realized I was trans- I was like 'hey, this is the person who I want to be' and when I did start modeling myself off of him I stopped feeling lost in a way I hadn't even noticed. I was following him around all the time, trying to be suave and discreet but in retrospect I was acting like a puppy, trailing at his heels wherever he went and trying to talk to him as much as possible. Kudos to him for never getting tired of me. I can talk a lot around people I like. His existence has also been a sort of guiding light for my identity and personality, even after camp. I know that the image of him in my head is idealized, but an idealized idol is really what you're looking for.
I transitioned a few weeks after camp and I had never felt more at peace with myself than that week. Even now I have a lot more identity turmoil and I'm excited to see him again- one, cause he's a great person and a ton of fun to be around, two, because I need to have that direction to my identity again. Anyways, thank you to finno! He's a wonderful person and this world is lucky to have him.

I have two. One’s my violin teacher, I’ve been studying with her for 6 out of the 12 years I’ve been playing violin. She’s taught me so much and there’s still so much she can teach me. She’s the most amazing violinist I know and I just feel so lucky to be her student. Terrie if you see this you’re my hero! And I guess I’d consider my favorite violinists Janine Jansen and Hilary Hahn my idols. And yes I am a total classical music nerd :)))

Alex Hirsh (creator of Gravity Falls) and Toby Fox (the main guy behind Undertale) are huge inspirations for me. They've both created amazing worlds with great characters, and I hope to be like them someday.
