Don't Fear (The Reaper) - Blue Oyster Cult. I love the song, but all my friends think it's weird

Yes, very cool and not weird at all. It's actually pretty popular, even more so ever since it appeared in the series Orange is the New Black, I think

Emo Girl by MGK and Willow. It's a very fun song, really gives off that careless pop punk vibe. I grew up in the 00's and I think if it was released back then, it would be an absolute banger. People take it too seriously.

Anything by Melanie Martinez. I tried showing one of her songs (Mrs. Potato Head) to one of my friends, and they just . . . looked at me like I was insane. I really do like her songs, though!

It may have a decent amount of fans on the other side of the globe, but none of my American friends like Wada Na Tod by the late great Lata Mangeshkar. Blue Waltz by Daniel Lanois is hauntingly beautiful. Buckaroo by Buck Owens (which you’ll recognize if you’ve seen Idiocracy) is just ridiculous and happy. And Beck’s cover of James Warren’s Everybody’s Gotta Learn Sometime is superb.

Cannonball wasn‘t popular where you live?

I can't say it was unpopular in my area but it didn't get alot of airplay on the radio from what I remember. My intro to it was from Mtv. Went and bought the album for that one song and thought the rest of the tracks were groovy. Kinda weird and experimental. Of course the weirdy metal proto-goth crowd that I was in didn't dig it too much.

Weezer? Like insanely popular in the late 90s-early 2000s Weezer? I was 10 when "Pinkerton" came out, realized there was a self-titled cd before that, and then played the "Weezer" cd until it was so warped, my player would spit it out. I think they were even on the Ellen show once.
