A machine to record dreams
I just talked to my friend recently about this too but then thought that such technology could be dangerous as it would be used for other things too.
That's the danger of all technology, unfortunately

Lately I've been having very realistic dreams and it's driving me crazy. For example, the other night I dreamt that I was eating a very good candy bar and I woke up with my phone in my hand ready to take a bite out of it and wondering where in h3ll did my candy bar go? It's not always about eating something. One time I'm out dancing with a most handsome man and waking up looking for him! Can't remember his name though. If I could, then I would track him down and demand to know why he took me home and left without so much as a good-bye. Some people have no manners at all!
I wonder if doing this would change our dreams? Wim Wenders made a film about this.
Affordable Solar panels that are actually roof tiles so that the entire roof of a structure could be utilised and feed power directly to the house/building it is on and stores excess in batteries, first by house… then local community batteries… then further afield
It's just a matter of increasing the efficacy of photovoltaic cells.
A translator for animals, so when they bark or something it says a word not just a bark or meow. It would be nice to understand them sometimes-
with the looks that my cat sometimes gives me before she miaows I’m not sure I would really want that 🤣
The word buttons that are out there, are amazingly accurate for what pets/animals I've seen using them- check out YouTube, you'd be amazed! I do also agree that something with a broader spectrum would be incredible!
I'm aware that the buttons exists, but i was thinking something like what they dogs from Up have :) ty for the comment btwww

1. A cure for AIDS other than bone marrow transplants. 2. Cures for various cancers (they differ in cause and prognosis and aren't the same thing that would take the same cure). 3. An alternative economic solution that doesn't involve creating oligarchs and mass poverty, nor market crashes. 4. An effective educational tool that gives people the ability to detect fake news/misinformation. 5. An electoral system that doesn't involve giving cushy jobs to really old men who happen to be good at telling lies. 6. A cure for ageing that targets cause rather than symptoms. 7. Warp drives. Thanks.
Things will never change as long as old men and money are involved.

Even you achieve auto-refill, there still is the "return" problem to be resolved. You really only briefly rent it!
Lol, I don't drink coffee, but I hear ya! That would just rock! Here's hoping!
A cure for Crohns Disease
Thank you for putting this. I have it and am in 8th grade. I have to go for infusions every few weeks and am always missing class for various doctors appointments.
A tube where we get in (standing or lying) and it generates a complete health report on us. Any early onset of disease, tumors, other health complications, complete blood report including any vitamin deficiency and hormones, DNA report, fat and muscle report, brain activity/function incl. any risks of Alzheimer's, dementia, mental health issues which could be prevented. Scanning for any deformity like when we have backpain. Then we can be sent to specialised doctors according to the report to be treated further.
I love this idea. This way we could also know about genetically inherited issues that will occur in the future but may not be actual yet.
Kind of like the Elysium or Prometheus movies have the med-beds. You basically just get in and you get scanned and it will fix your problems.
While I like this, I feel I should add that some of those things mentioned need some blood drawn. But yeah, a tube and a little pinprick being enough would be awesome!
Yes, the tube would have to take care of the blood check too

So your in the shower and trying to use your conditioner or shower gel but its slippery as hell and impossible to open. Especially when using at home hair dye, the conditioner tube is so hard to open. A little texture to the bottles would be wonderful
Buy elastic hair ties and place a few on each bottle. That should prevent you from losing grip.
THIS! I have balance issues, as well as advanced neuropathy in my hands & feet/lower legs; sometimes I don't know I haven't got a good hold on something, or too much of a grip, I involuntarily let go of stuff or get shocked and those inanimate objects are subsequently launched into a juggling frenzy. I'm also a trained cosmetologist, & why this hasn't already been overcome, is a trip (no pun intended). It's hard enough having toddler moments w/o throwing in slippery bottles, etc.! I'm just saying,🤭 The struggle is real!
Wheelchair with longer range and ability to not dump me out on curbs
I think one solution would be reactive curbs. Like there would be sensors in the curbsides that would pick up a signal from wheelchairs. And then the curbs would automatically go down to street level until the chair is out of range.
How about a wheelchair with a built in extendable ramp so you always can get up things. It can have a sensor so it will detect any issues that could be dangerous. You can also click a button and it will scan the area in front and determine the height of the ramp need. And it could have a motorized stair climber, maybe, for more steep stairs? I feel like this should exist already.
Are you saying that the solution is for the wheelchair user to further limit the places that they go? Hmmm.

I think there is one. Do a search. I feel like I read somewhere they invented a browser ad-on that filters kardashians and trump stuff.
A program designed for writers that shows you the best synonyms, grammar/spelling mistakes, ect. Or when would be a better time to indent or rephrase things to make it sound cleaner and more cohesive. I know about grammarly and most basic doc programs have spell checks- but none of them are really good without having to pay 15 bucks a month.
MS Word has more than just a spell checker. I frequently use the built-in thesaurus and it's got a lot of useful tools that many people don't know about. However, to get cohesion, that's on the writer, really. Or you can use AI. I sometimes use chatGPT to help me rephrase sentences, especially if I want them more concise, which isn't my forte.

As other replies have solved world hunger/peace/disease, let's enjoy the invention of the "be quiet and open up" button. Whenever someone is espousing a terrible concept such as "why don't the poor just stop eating if they're so hard up", "how dare people who haven't got a trust fund have babies", or "asylum seekers can't be that needy if they can afford a boat trip" you press the button and they not only can't speak, but their mind opens and dispenses with all the prejudices and they really listen with empathy. Ahhh we can but dream.
Unfortunately, most of us cannot predict the future. There are good times and there are bad times. Nine months plus 18 years provides a lot of time for things to go south.

Load More Replies...I would add to this something to completely soundproof apartments and houses. And it would be a required upgrade. The number of violent problems because of neighbor rage would end. No more dealing with the crackheads downstairs or the metal band practicing for 6 hours upstairs, or trying to get some sleep through the party going on upstairs that the cops and the landlord could give a c**p about. No more listening to the porn stars who literally listen to porn all. day. long at a volume so loud I can't have anyone over out of embarrassment they're going to have to listen to it. As you can see, I've had issues. And landlords don't care unless they live on the property and have to deal with it themselves. But even in houses, this might be nice to block out the noise from next door neighbors rev'ing their motorcycle engines all the time or fighting, traffic noises, etc. Earplugs are not enough. And I should be able to listen to my tv or have a convo with someone in my own apt.

Or even could write for you without you having to say it out loud. I feel like that would help writers a lot to write out the way you're trying to convey something without having to be taken out of that headspace to physically type. Drawing images could help with victims of crime in getting accurate images of the criminals instead of doing sketches by police artists. It could also help creative people in designing to be able to see exactly what they are imagining if they can't draw well.
A machine that emits a series of pulses that readjusts brain-waves to reduce irrational fears, mounted on geo-synchronous satellites around the globe.
which fears are irrational though, and how would you determine which are in fact irrational and which are not? For example, I am far less worried about the chinese than I am about USA. I base this relative risk assessment on the quantity of invasions of other countries over time since 1945. Various figures point to around 84 territories. China I think it's a part of india, tibet, and debatably Hong Kong (but was a voluntary handover from UK). So... max three I think. So what is rational to fear?
The problem is, China hasn't actually invaded other countries in a conventional way, but they are purchasing vast extensions of land in Africa and South America, which they will use for God only knows what. They are also acquiring all the knowledge and patents, and they have nearly all the factories of key components, such as microchips. They do not need to invade anything. They are already the owners of the world, or they will be very soon.

Homeopathy is a scam on two counts. 1. The premise it’s based on is nonsense and non scientific. 2. One drop of that, mixed with 100 drops of water, etc , 60 or 100 times!) lLook at the disclaimers on the bottles! Google the subject. Interesting reading!
Too bad most people have no understanding of Homeopathy. It should be the first remedy to be tried for any ailment since it is totally non-invasive. If it doesn't work, no harm done. Then go to something like herbs next. Treating with Pharmaceuticals should be the very last resort! Load More Replies...I've currently been wrapping my head around how to create a cup that can stir itself and is also safe to wash up and is kid friendly. Obviously just a Vacuum space with some wiring in it to a switch would work semi well but it's all about making sure whatever you are drinking can't fall through the gaps you need to leave to make the parts move. Also I don't want to use blades like a blender because 1: kids will get their hands in it and 2: It's not a blender. So I'm thinking some sort of Dome shape should work and when activated it spins and creates that Whirlpool effect in the cup. Making stuff like Tea, Coffee, my own recipe Hot Chocolate, Milkshakes etc would be so much easier and I wouldn't need to take a spoon out with me to enjoy watching it while I stir it. But anyway I digress, I'm working on that myself Something I have no idea how to make that I really want is an app for your phone (My phone Snapdragon is my ultimate life assistant) that uses your camera as eyes so when you point it at stuff it tells you all you need to know. So if there is something you can't read while you are on holiday in another country, just point your phone at it and your phone will use the camera to see it and translate it for you. If you see someone have a minor accident like a bump to the head that has a bit of bleeding then you point your phone at it and it tells you what to do. If it's way more serious then it automatically calls emergency services. If you are in the woods or something just for fun then you can point your phone at stuff like plants and it'll tell you what they are and wether you should avoid them or not. If you get lost then it'll give you a map with an arrow saying "go this way". You could use it as GPS that's actually reliable and detects road works and diversions and road collisions so you don't get in a journey and then have to U-turn without some voice saying "You are going the wrong way" or "you missed your turning" which makes me want to physically attack it. If you had an argument then you can input what's happened so far and it'll give you a few suggestions to solve it maturely and help you and whoever you are arguing with to overcome it. I just think it'd be nice and also as a shop worker I see a lot of people do really dumb things and I think it's becoming more of a necessity than a luxury

Load More Replies...A sausage gün for pizzas. The cook loads it with a tube of ground sausage, and it shoots out little balls of sausage onto a pizza being made. The only stipulation is that is has to make a silly farting noise each time it produces a meatball. A must have at your local pizza joint!
A system for recycling certain types of plastic. When you’re done with something made of plastic, you dump it into a bin which is connected to a chute that’s connected to a 3d printer. If anything is broken, the plastic can be used to fix it from the 3d printer
Oh…mine feels dumb now and I’m late but an app that you can make your own fonts with. So liek, you’d write the alphabet in the style you want, scan it, title it and now you have the exact font you wanted. I think it could be fun, I would be able to fool my teachers into thinking I hand wrote things, I could make my docs more fun and I think I would make it so you could even type in code or something. Of course I wouldn’t know how to accomplish this so.. feel free to steal my million dollar idea (kind of kidding because it’s not that cool but also do steal it if this is in your skill set
Reusable diapers that are as easy to use as disposable ones. I never dared to try reusable ones because everyone I know who used them said they were a mess and that EVENTUALLY you'd get used to use them. Also, I'd like it if they could invent a new SoMe platform that was more text-based than photo-/video based. I loved Livejournal a lot back in the day. Also, listography.com as an android app. That would make me sooooo happy ❤
How has no one mentioned a magic pill to keep you thin/healthy or get rid of fat? That would literally be my number one wish. To be able to eat whatever I wanted without worrying it would make me fat or that I would ever have to exercise again unless I wanted to. And I would because I wouldn't have so little energy anymore that going for a walk would be nice and not a painful struggle. No more fat shaming people. No more knee, back and general pain for fat people. No more health issues stemming from an unhealthy diet- your body would turn anything you eat into healthy conversions. The end of 80% of heart disease, diabetes, blood clot issues, etc. The end to a lot of body issues for so many people (not all but a lot). It would be a miracle, for me anyway.
