Gifts. Each year we tell people we don't want anything, we know times are tight for people, we'd sooner they spent any money on things for themselves, that would be the gift we want, to see them not having to struggle buying a thing for us.

I hope I don’t get any more sweaters my grandma thinks are cute lol. She literally makes me put them on when I get them and checks for sizing and promptly hands my parents a gift receipt if it doesn’t fit so I can exchange it at stores like LLBean or Ann Taylor or something. I love that she tries I just feel so guilty

thank you. see, she's grieving because my grandfather died almost a year ago, and yesterday she had to put down her dog, Keeva, which she had ever since she was about 8 months old, (Keeva not my grandma) and she had her for 6 years, almost 7, and by the way Keeva means gentle and precious beauty, and she doesn't have a job so they're taking money from my grandfathers bank account and giving my grandma a monthly paycheck and its barely enough to pay for her doctor bills, her home bills, (like water and electricity) and her rent, along with so many other things, so i don't want a gift from her as i want her to spend that money on herself,

Shower supplies my MIL gifts me so much every year, that I am set for life now even if she won't gift any to me this year, and most of the things I get gifted I could gift back because my skin will irritate after use... so now I have a closet filled with shower gel, and luffas (those I do use) that I have to throw it out because I have no space for it anymore.
