I have ADHD and a cow fell on top of me when I was 6 years old
I was standing next to her petting her when she saw one of the draft horses out of the corner of her eye and spooked. She slipped in the mud trying to see what it was and fell on me. There was so much mud and I was still a rubber child so I didn’t have any major injuries. She was my moms milk cow and she was the sweetest cow. She felt really bad about it too
Load More Replies...I’m a 53 year old female and I work construction.
So cool. I live in China, and i’ve seen numerous 50 something women do construction and landscaping here.
I love black licorice.
There are different types of licorice, but as a Finn, I strongly agree with at least the Nordic ones.😋
I'm currently learning German on Duolingo. The school I'm going to next year has German as a language, so I wanted to get a head start because I need to be decent or good at something immediately in order to not get annoyed by it.
I have osmophobia (phobia of smells). I feel repulsed to strong smells, mostly artificial ones. So I can't stand any perfume or deodorant. They make me feel nauseous and give migraines.
It sounds like you have fragrance hypersensitivity and allergies to some synthetic fragrances or even herbal ones. Research carefully what the products you can use contain so that you can better define what you cannot tolerate. I suffer from this myself and the most recent example was when I came to the stairwell of our apartment building and a really strong smell of laundry detergent came up from the basement laundry room. I was still sneezing at home and when I have to dry the sheets downstairs, I put them outside to air out and even then I wake up with a stuffy nose and itchy eyes. I am apparently condemned to use allergy medicine all year round. It would be heavenly if scented detergents were banned in the shared laundry room of our apartment building. Sorry for the long opening, but if you have any questions about scent sensitivity, I'd be happy to answer them!
No one says my name right first time.
I KNOW (my deadname, and then I have to tell them my preferred name and I have S.A.D. so thats always SO fun)
1) that sucks im sorry 2) I can't read SAD as anything other than seasonal depression (I think that's the same acronym otherwise I've been lied to) so I have no idea what you're talking about
Load More Replies...Cal, it doesn't count you were like Instructed by the teacher lmao
Load More Replies...Lol same and mine is a semi-common spelling of an anglo name. My friend's name is 5 syllables and uncommon even by sri lankan standards-- the bastard scottish woman at starbs not only said it right but spelled it almost perfectly-- for to mine... began my name with a K... my name is 5 letters and begins with H gjkgngnr?!
Well, yeah, I would be surprised if I met someone named Crocodile /j
Load More Replies...I feel extremely lost in life.
i got my foot stuck in my couch when i was five and whenever i’m nervous i blurt out dolly parton songs
stuff like jolene and 9 to 5, mostly country-ish
Load More Replies...Im able to remember the layout of smaller buildings/houses perfectly just being there once.
Same. I once drew out the layout - both stories - of a house I hadn't seen since I was 5. The only thing I got wrong was one closet and I just had it on the wrong wall, it was across from where I had put it. I have to say it's a pretty useful skill. though mine isn't 100% perfect but it's close. I average 98%.
It takes me one trip to a friends house for me to remember where everything is.
I can do a flawless impression of the Venom voice, I like to use it for saying mundane stuff or singing silly songs. My friends love it (I'm a 26 year old woman).
I am a trained painter and bookbinder. I can imitate different types of wood, gilding, decorative painting and even imitating marble etc. I can bind books by hand without machines. It's a useless skill these days, though. Of course, necessary for repairing old books that require a gentle hand. For example, in books after the Second World War, there was clearly a shortage of good glue in Finland, and to remove the glue, you mainly need surgical tools and fine sandpaper, one folded page at a time from the back. The glue resembled solidified caramel.
Thank you. I have an eye for details and i'm patient. It's so satisfying to give an old item the TLC it deserves.
Load More Replies...It's a new thing for me, but I found it, that's it Artemisia arbotanum. Although it is more of a plant that is used in cooking? Oh, wait...so in SMALL portions. I noticed that it also grows here and contains thujon. That's what you get when you can't remember the botanical name of plants. 🙈
Load More Replies...That sounds so cool! I would love to see pictures, if you ever feel like posting some :)
I have to put something when I see a suitable opportunity. I just have to dig from an external hard drive.
Load More Replies...I have a mountain/Eiffel Tower of FUNKO pops on top of my dresser, I’m knowledgeable about comics, I like to draw, I’m on BP daily, I have 2 BP accounts and occasionally use both for some reason..
Do you remember Jelly Shoes and Pagers and writing 80085 on a calculator and turning it upside-down because you were bored?
Yes. I wrote “b######” and “shoes” and “hohoho” those were good times lol
Load More Replies...I mostly draw characters, like movie or comic characters. I’ve posted some of my art on art posts. Most of them were in school quick draws, but still
Load More Replies...I am Milk
Milk is a word that, when written repeatedly, no longer looks like the right word. I personally am a cinnamon bun flavored oat "milk". Or maybe orange brownie flavored oat "milk".
I write graphic horror stories. If my parents found them they would think I'm crazy.
Cross between Saw and Hostle. I like my horror movies gory!
Load More Replies...Haven't online published any of them yet, but there is a chapter in my Naruto fanfic that I'm writing. https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13908743/0/
Load More Replies...I once painted something creepy (a girl without a mouth with words above stating she was chopped and stuff) and my mom freaked out after finding it.
I also love graphic stories and horror stories so I would love to read a graphic horror one!!
I dropped a 50lb barbell on my big toe when I was 5. Had it removed at 29 from that injury.
I know a lot about chemical, biological, and nuclear weapons. I can tell you how easy it is to make some of them - and how difficult it is to actually employ them :)
I have a friend like that, once he told me how to make two different flammable chemicals, and then he fell asleep on a bench. Most of my friends are pretty weird though (myself included)
I know a lot of random history facts. My friends give me grief for it all the time.
Everyone hate Jews even though Romans killed Jesus.
Load More Replies...Me too!!!! Until they need help with their AP History homework, then I’m a hero.
I am a huge geography/history nerd. No clue why. Also, I can answer almost any question having to do with the NFL.
SAME Edit: except for the NFL part. Also, what is your favorite historical time period?
Chiefs are the lesser of two evils lol I'm a Dallas fan through and through
I have a weird fondness for playing cards. Idk why, I just draw the symbols on my leg all the time and I love collecting different art styles for them. I want to make my own playing card deck sometime
I learned how to make washable tattoos, look it up if you're curious because I'm bad at explaining step by step through text.
Imma have to look at that later thanks
Load More Replies...Try henna..... Back in my art school days, I'd paint elaborate spirals and runic poems all up my right arm ( I' m left handed)... They'd last for weeks, but sort of look like elaborate birth marks... Also used to paint with henna on a friends back, giant angel wings and stuff...looked cool....
Oh cool! I used to have a few decks with pictures of horses and planes and stuff like that, idk where they are now though
So um I was almost named Sebastian, but instead, my parents decided "you know what, Caleb is cooler". Also, I could probably host a lecture on the titanic and you would walk away knowing something new, spent like 6 years obsessed, and now I have an unnecessary amount of knowledge
You can just tell people to call you something else while using your real name for papers and important things.
that's what I typically do, I have people call me Cal cause I'm not sure what else I would like people to call mee
Load More Replies...Sebastian is such a cool name imo. I would have been named David if I was cis but as I am trans I've thankfully escaped that fate (I am not a David, at all)
Its a rather well-known fact, but the fourth and final of the Titanic's giant funnels was a dummy, there purely for aesthetic purposes and ventilation.
Load More Replies...I’m a 34 year old trans woman and i am bisexual
Hey! I'm also trans and bi (tho i usually say I'm gay cause either have a strong preference)
I am lesdiace/acebian idk how to combine asexual and lesbian so those are my attempts.
I'm going to give a few since if I don't I will probably make an irl conversation awkward. I have one white eye and one blue eye, a metal back, Inattentive ADHD, and apparently can't feel pain when I'm supposed to.
I didn't know it was possible to have a white eye- that's very cool!
Well it's white because it's blind, I'm a bit bad at explaining but I think if your eyes or eye is blind after awhile you brain stops sending melanin(forgot the spelling) to the eye or eyes I was born with mine.
Load More Replies...I speak both English and French. I’m also a Canadian, I could go on and on about how beautiful Canada is, the healthcare system is free, we have created a delicious dish of french fries, gravy, and cheese curds, it’s called Poutine, and it’s delicious. If you ever want to visit any country, you should come to Canada, but be careful not to startle the cobra chickens, because they will attack you. Cobra chickens are Canada Geese by the way, but their nickname is very appropriate and fitting for these aggressive birds.
I am a living breathing creature... Idk
That I can remember specific dates and times of when famous people died. I can remember anything especially long term because I have an amazing long term memory.
I am autistic I am double jointed in my fingers, elbows and ankles. I just finished Grade 8 piano I am almost 13
There's no such thing as double jointed. You have hypermobility in those joints.
Sorry, my bad. I think in general the term 'double-jointed' is used when talking about hyper mobility, even tho technically it's not correct. Thank you.
Load More Replies...I am building a website named after myself to celebrate classic rock and scary movies. The only ads will be for T-shirts and coffee mugs i designed
Today my laptop fell on my face while I was watching YouTube in my bed. It did not fall flat, it landed on the edge. My nose turned purple. Life is fun ! Random fact about me: I never had trouble scraching my back. It is all within my reach.
Same for the second one. My arm can go all the way around my back and can touch my bellybutton so I can reach anywhere on my back easily
I'm so jealous that you can scratch yourself so easily. I have an itching problem that I take 3 meds for and it still drives me crazy! Constantly itching somewhere on my body. And my back is the absolute worst!
I have the ability to “replay” what someone just said in my mind. Literally, if I want to, when I hear a sentence or a musical phrase that someone just said, I can hear it again in my head. I can even speed it up or slow it down, so I mostly use this weird power to figure out what someone said without asking them to repeat it. IDK if that’s something everyone can do or if it’s just me, but it’s cool either way!
I was hit in the back of the head with a t-shirt from a t-shirt cannon at a football game.
The funny part is that it didn't hurt, it just made a cool noise.
wow didn’t hurt but funny noise what kind of noise tell me deets plz
Load More Replies...I am from New Zealand, born in Hong Kong, have lived in America, is living in Japan and can speak Japanese. I also am a history nerd.
I weigh around 70 pounds more than I did when I graduated high school 30 years ago. In all fairness, I am in better shape now than I was then. I also like myself a lot more than I did in high school.
I actually like marzipan.
It's an almond confectionary paste.
Load More Replies...I’ve basically made a whole manga series in my head. I just haven’t gotten the motivation to actually start making it 🫠
More people know me by my reenactment persona name then by my real name. Because of this, I use my real name here on BP as disguise...
I'm way too emotional. Like there's so much around me that easily upsets me or makes me wanna cry. And oftentimes, I can't help it.
Hey, your waters run deep. That's a good thing. Embrace every teardrop. I'm the same way and I wouldn't trade it for a hard heart no matter how much easier it would make things. I like it, that I care. It hurts me not to care, I have tried that and it's worse.
Guess I needed to hear that. Thank you!
Load More Replies...I have a lot of knowledge about Mummies and I'm still learning about more cultures that had mummies every day. I have to reign myself in because a lot of people think they're creepy. On the same note while I know a lot about Egyptian mummies - I know more about other mummies around the world. I feel like Egypt gets all the mummy hype and there's just so many out there. I haven't kept up on the Egypt side of things so a lot of my knowledge is older information. I have a lot of random knowledge in my head and will always warn people to double check me cause some of it is older stuff. I have such varied interests and research so much random stuff that I've got a lot rattling around in my brain. Researching is one of my hyper focuses that is a hobby of mine. I will start up looking up some information on a recent(ish - 2019) sacrificial site found in Peru - and some how wind up reading some research paper on the origin of Garden Gnomes, before bouncing off to the real story behind the raft of the medusa then reading a scientific study done on a specific genome to CRISPR technology and some work they're doing that I'm keeping an eye on. So yeah....it's pretty varied. Side note: I'm cautious about CRISPR. I see what they want to do but I have concerns.
I'm good doing character voices. My 3 favorites in no specific order: peter griffin, quagmire and hank hill.
I get goosebumps all over my body every time I am right in the moment of doing 💩💦 Sorry for the eschatological fact.. but I honestly wonder if this happens to other people too

My 2 favorite things to watch on TV are soap operas & football.
Once I read a fun little fact I remember it at the most random times and just throw a random fact out there. I’m like, not highly educated, tried to though, but if there was a master degree for useless fun facts I would have it 😜
When I was 2 I fell out of the upstairs bedroom window and fractured my skull. No lasting damage thankfully.
I would love to hate my neighbor. But, that just takes way too much energy. I know because I have tried. Now, I just do my best to avoid the hell out of him.

i have severe scoliosis (curved spine) like my spine is in the shape of an s and i'm getting surgery and everything. yes it hurts lol. i want to be a singer, and i play guitar, piano, and ukulele and have been in choir for 7 years. i'm also a total theater nerd, which makes sense cause my mom is a theater teacher. i have GAD and social anxiety, and i'm an introvert. i also have depression and (in the process of diagnosis) adhd. i like dying my hair as well :) sorry that was not a "fact" that was like 12 but thanks for reading lmao
I have a secret twitter account where I've started to share most most bizarre thoughts as i feel like im a burden on my friend when i do this to them. I used to have the same orthodontist as Tom Holland!
I'm 45, i never had girl friend or sex.

Not too many fans of Anchorman here then 🤣
lamp is lamp (idk either, I guess just play along)

The current Japanese imperial era is called the Reiwa (令和). It is the only one of these era names so far that has come from Japanese literature (in this case, the Man'yoshu).

Load More Replies...i love reece’s pieces don’t hate on mee
I can't whistle or snap but I can repeatedly crack my knuckles, I only get carsick if I'm not sitting upright, and I read a lot (if you need any book recommendations, tell me your favorite genre and I'll come up with something)
There's a series called Splintered that I really want to read, it's about the one of the descendants of Alice (as in Alice in Wonderland) and she finds Wonderland but it's a lot darker than she expected. I haven't read it yet, but I'll see if I can find it at the library and then I'll get back to you :)
Load More Replies...I don't read a lot of horror, but I've read a few books by Mary Downing Hahn. All of her books are horror with a sad/dark twist. My favorites are 'Deep and Dark and Dangerous,' 'One for Sorrow,' and 'The Girl in the Locked Room.' I really like them because there's no clear 'villain,' the antagonist is always a victim of circumstance.
