Potatoes, without question. You can boil them, put them in the oven, cook them on an open fire. You can make them to alcohol, make gratin, fried potatoes, french fries, salad, soup, souflé, fry them, bake them, stew them, you can do about anything with them. Just don't eat them raw.

I answered pizza right off the top, then read about potatoes, which I love all the ways you listed, maybe not for alcohol, but I eat potatoes almost every.single. day. :-D Wonder if I could put potatoes on pizza? Betcha I'd figure it out.

I forgot potatoe chips. And Rösti (hash browns). You can eat potatoes spicy or with something sweet as potatoe fritter with apple sauce. And yes: you can put Potatoes on a pizza dough. My swiss grandmother used to make Kartoffelwähe, which is close enough to pizza. I found no translation for "Wähe". Just add some cream and eggs to the sliced or grated potatoes. Put this in the oven. Now I am getting hungy. Or how about potatoe dumplings? Gnocchi, Tortilla, duchess potatoes, croquettes ..... Just one more: even Hobbits eat potatoes (taters... as read in "The Two Towers" . And there are different sorts of potatoes, too. (Translation says waxy or floury/mealy). And different varieties like Adretta, Bintje, Linda, Bamberger Hörnchen, Marabel, Siglinde, Belana, Agria, just to name a few which are sold in Germany. Guess what's vor lunch today?

What is wrong with eating them raw? They are delicious with a sprinkle of salt.

Community Member
3 years ago Created by potrace 1.15, written by Peter Selinger 2001-2017

I wouldn't: Raw potatoes are unpalatable and toxic in larger quantities. Young children, pregnant women and sensitive seniors should not eat raw potatoes. The consumption of raw potatoes may result in consequences such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and fever up to disturbances of consciousness.

They're isn't endless options for potatoes. Some of your list can't be done if you're only eating one food for the rest of your life. No cheese/milk/butter etc, so no gratin, or mash. Just potatoes 🥔 potatoes 🥔 potatoes 🥔. I'd rather kill myself. Mutch better options out there

It's a different flavor than venison, a little bit more gamey. If your trying it for the first time get a steak and cut it into strips or buy it ground. That way, if you don't like it your not wasting $40 on a roast

Freschetta's supreme pizza because it has all the recommended food groups- dairy, meat, veggies, and grains, and even fruit if I wanted to add several slices of pineapple to it. I don't know if there's a loophole here that considers that my one food is pizza, but because it comes in different brands and styles, I'm allowed to have different ones. If so, my other go-to pizza would be Digornio's Hand Tossed supreme pizza. These two, in my opinion, are the best of all the supermarket frozen brands. I want to add some back story details here so you know how awesome this was for me: My family is of Italian and Irish descent. But despite the fact that the Italian side of the family had the most people on my mother's father's side, and that, therefore, by default was the culture my mom was raised in, I turned eleven years old and still had never tasted a crumb of pizza, not even a frozen one. I guess the family was more partial to pasta, because my mom was thirty-nine at the time and had never tasted pizza either. So our neighbor invited my mom and I to go out to dinner with her and her two girls, (the older one my age being my best friend) to Shakey's Pizza Parlor. This was back in the late 70s when, if restaurants advertised their food as being made from scratch, it really was made from scratch, not some frozen dough that they would heat up, put fresh toppings on, and stamp it as being "from scratch". I was so excited to try the pizza, but apprehensive too because I was, and still am, on the autism spectrum, and people with high functioning autism hate to have their normal routines and habits changed. This was all very memorable to me because, believe it or not, (and it's probable that this is related to my autism, too), I was, and still am, a die-hard Scooby-Doo fan, and in the very oldest episodes, from the mid to late 1960s, "the gang" would always hang out at their local pizza parlor in between solving all the mysteries they got mixed up in. Well, Shakey's did not disappoint. The "parlor" was exactly as I had imagined it would be from all those Scooby-Doo episodes. The smells, the ambiance, everything. I should probably mention that I have a very accurate and vivid imagination, and that most of the time it's uncannily, exactly right. So that first ever taste of pizza was heaven, and it tasted exactly as I had imagined it would. That was when my love affair with pizza began. Oh, to be eleven years old again and have so many firsts to look forward to!

The fact that you didn't eat pizza till you were 11 is crazy! I mean at least you know what it tastes like now, but still super crazy! Also does your mom love pizza too?

My mom can take it or leave it now. But back in the day when a pizza parlor named 'Pizza Haven' was still fairly new, she loved it! Their pizzas actually were heavenly then, before they were bought out by some huge cardboard box pizza chain. But my mom's traditional Italian family (I say 'mom's' beause by the time I was two y/o they had almost all passed, except for my grandmother -my mom's mom on the Irish side of the fam.) They must have been quite unusual, because despite my mom's father -my grandfather- having literally stowed away on an Italian naval ship heading to America from Italy (where he was born), when he was seventeen back in about the early 1900s, no one in his huge family that he brought over from Italy once he had secured a place for himself playing as first and featured coronet soloist in the Seattle Symphony, none of them liked or made lasagna on a regular basis either. Garfield wouldn't have lasted five minutes in our family, lol.
