For a lot of them, I think it is psychological vulnerability. They are often at a bad point in their life when they "start to question" things and "doing their own research", they are already having trust issues and so it snowballs into not trusting the government, then "They" are lying to you about everything. But I'm also confident that a fair few of them don't believe it at all and are just in it for the money.

What is the cure for cancer.

For thsoe saying "we shouldn't disapprove because of might..." ________ Learn oncology and get back to us, thanks. FYI, 70% fatality is higher than most cancers, so no, we wouldn't take that pill. It is medically irresponsible to even offer it. For example, my mom's cancer's fatality rate was less than 5%. My husband's is 90% *by this Christmas*! I know people who are actively researching "What turns a cell into a cancer cell" both using DNA, and other pathways, to stop this before it starts. There is a cure for the *process* that turns cells "bad". We'll find it. Because it isn't that different from one cancer to the next so far in some research. Once it develops, cancer has many types, but it's cellular processes are remarkably similar across the board ------- proliferation of Bad Cells. Find the trigger(s), stop the cancer. There you have the short version of the latest in research in oncology, from a medical doctor. Now, leave Caro Caro alone!

There is no "The". There are cures for some forms of cancer, just not all. And some only work for some patients, not for others, New ones being developed all the time, trying to identify exactly what will work for whom.

There is over 200 different types and classifications of cancer, and no 'one cure for all'. Some treatments that are effective against one type of cancer have no effect on others. For some types, a cure has been found, but is considered to be not worth the risks. If I told you there was a pill that can completely cure lung cancer, but has a 70% chance of killing the patient, would you think the pill should be available? (Personally I think the answer should be 'yes', but those responsible for approving medicine disagree).

I agree, it is a bit nonsensical that therapies that COULD help a few are not approved because they *might* have adverse effects. If I were terminal, I would happily take the risk. 70% chance of dying vs 100% chance of dying is a no brainer.

Cancer is complex, so there will never be a single cure. In theory though, it's simple. Find a way to target only the cancer cells. The problem is that cancer cells are still our cells, just mutated a little.

There will be a treatment to stop the process of proliferation of bad cells, but that will still leave a few cancers out in the cold. Still, if we can stop/slow even 80% of the cancers out there? I'll hope on.

Humans want a purpose for existing that is beyond this hellish existence. So, religions come and go and typically feature some form of life after life. The reality is that WE DON'T KNOW. It's not like we can die and come back. There are so-called near death experiences but we can't be sure if any of it's more than the brain freaking out.

Yes - but not necessarily yours. Realistically everything on this earth is recycled. Forests become oil and coal. Mountains sand and dust. Plants compost and become food. It is extremely unlikely that whatever is life energy is not also recycled….but still possible. It really depends on what you mean by life. Is it a continuation of the one you currently have or a different one or simple nothingness?

Here's my 2 cents, for what it's worth. Not all of my choices are good. And not all of my choices occur in isolation. I'm going to affect others with either of my choices, right? So what happens when my bad choice, along my path, intersects with your path? You are inconvenienced by me. And then you have a choice on how you will respond to me and my bad choice. What did God have to do with that, other than gift us the ability to make those choices? He is not going to take back the gift just because we don't use it properly! Good things happen to all people. Bad things happen to all people. Don't discount God, some of his people are still learning how to use his gifts. And quite honestly, some people are not interested in learning at all. That's their choice to make, not God's fault. What kind of God would he be if he only created good people who love him and do the right thing all the time? Personally, I wouldn't qualify, and I wouldn't be interested bc that doesn't seem fair.

    Leo Domitrix

DNA doesn't consciously evolve. It's biochemistry at a tiny tiny tiny tiny scale, and organisms evolve, due to the changes in their DNA. It typically occurs over so many generations that it's rarely noticed until it's in the past, except in short-lived critters like insects, some plants, and microbes. DNA *changes*. If the change is non-harmful, the change stays. if it's harmful but doesn't prevent procreation, it may stay anyway, over generations. So imagine this: Get 10000 dice, each di has four sides. The letters on the sides are A, C, T, G. Shake the dice in a cup and roll them out. Welcome to evolution. It's about that crazy!

DNA is subject to mutation and errors. Most such mutations and errors are detrimental. Some help us survive better. The worst of the worst end up removed from the gene pool while the less detrimental and good mutations end up being spread. So long as these errors and mutations keep happening, evolution will continue. Some things that can cause mutations include but are not limited to ionizing radiation, chemicals, replication errors, and potentially physical damage.

I think it all comes down to what you believe. IMO I favor the reincarnation belief. Our souls "energy" becomes the foundation for new life.

If the soul exists, it's a construct of the brain. When the body dies, along with the brain, the soul would cease to exist.

That's actually not definitive proof. However, that, with much of the other evidence, suggests he was murdered and I personally do not believe he killed himself

I think it's like a book. When you read it, you have a favorite character. The motivation for the actions are for this character is not always explained. But since we feel so close to it we just assume why he or she done what she done. That's why a book can have a different meaning to everyone. The story is the same. But the personal meaning is different. That's why I usually feel for the so called villains in the story. Because I believe no one was born bad. Why the villain thought he had to be so horrible. Why did he hurt the protagonist? And again is the protagonist always a good person or is it just a chunk of the story we see ?and maybe the person who we think is so great in that book is actually an AH? Life is the same, sometimes we are heros , sometimes we can be seen as devils, but it's still just a chunk of a story. A story we live. A story where we can change ours and others faith I believe it's like this somehow. Everyone is unique, with a unique story to tell at the end

I believe in an infinite number of multiverse separated by frequency in a similar manner to radio stations. All the radio stations exist at the same time in the same space but we are tuned into one. I also believe that there could be interference between nearby frequencies which might explain ghosts and such. Aliens could be a mixture of beings from this multiverse and other ones (maybe they figured out how to change their tuner).

Hold on, the majority of the scientific community has not agreed on that. Some have proposed theories about multiple universes, but that's it. We still do not understand the majority of this universe (dark energy and dark matter). There is zero evidence of a multiverse right now. And, yeah I know good and bad are highly subjective, and if one consciously chooses to do good things they're probably a good person, but I do worry about it sometimes, because I have fairly low empathy and I don't think I care nearly enough about things that people would find upsetting or distressing, and that's where the question lies.

How did the Big Bang happen when nothing existed?! How does the universe expand despite the law of the conservation of matter?

A couple of clarifications: it’s a common misconception that the Big Bang theory states there was nothing and then there was something/everything. The Big Bang states that the universe was once immensely dense and unimaginably small, but doesn’t necessarily posit that there was nothing before that. And space itself is expanding and taking the matter inside with it. The amount of matter is the same.

The poles "switch places" on a regular basis. It is believed that we are in the process now, and the poles will switch withing the next few 1000 years or so. That the poles have switched is known by lava - there are eruptions somewhere every years, so the chronicle is complete for at least 500 million years. Iron molecules in lava always point to the North Pole when it cools - at least in the Northern Hemisphere. That's how they know.

No, they would not. Gravity pulls to the center of a sphere, thereby pulling everything on the sphere’s surface toward its center. “Down” is always toward the middle of the Earth.
