So we've heard of booktok and bookstagram. I wanna see more posts on BP about writing or books. If I were to actually make it, everyone would be welcome, even if you only read once in a blue moon. its my hope that readers can share their favorite books with everyone, writers can get more advice on their writing, and non-readers can try out both of these things. Please tell me yes or no to this idea!

To give a vague idea of how this would work, answer some of these questions below:

1. What's your favorite genre?

2. Favorite book?

3. Have you ever published a book or short story?

4. And in case you missed this question before, are you interested in the idea of a book community in BP?

Have a lovely day!

1) Probably YA, I can find it difficult to get into fantasy books. I like some non fiction too :)
2) Anything by A.S. King, Angie Thomas or Colleen Clayton
3) No, I don't enjoy creative writing.
4) Definitely :D

1. My favourite genres and fantasy, dystopian, classical, and (sometimes) crime
2. Favourite books: The Hunger Games Trilogy (Suzanne Collins), 1984 (George Orwell), A Gentle Creature (Fyodor Dostoyevsky), No Longer Human (Osamu Dazai), The Setting Sun (Osamu Dazai), and Hard Times (Charles Dickens)
3. I haven't published anything, but I have posted quite a bit on ao3! Mostly just fanfiction and poetry though
4. Absolutely! I think BookPanda would be a great idea, and I would definitely love to be able to post writing, and read other's writing and what not

1 at the moment? True crime.
2 The Handmaids Tale. Or 1984.
3 no but I would love it if I could.
4 yes I would but age differences would be a bit factor. I mean this with no disrespect, and I am not shaking anyone who likes such books, if the book club had a lot of younger readers, YA may dominate, and I am far too old for the genre I suspect, as are many other readers. Not that we could not enjoy the odd YA, but there would have to be a good mix including more adult orientated books.

Hi! One of the main hopes I have for this community is to encourage people to read and write. Is there a reason you can’t write and is there a way for BP to support you so that you can? As for the reading, I have to admit I haven’t read many adult oriented books, but I’m sure I could try!

1. Right now, my top genres are fantasy, horror, and post-apocalyptic.

2. While I haven't read extensively, there are several intriguing titles I've come across. As you know, I've read "Warrior Cats" lol. And I haven't read these yet, but they still intrigue me, such as George R.R. Martin's "A Song of Ice and Fire" series, "Fire and Blood," Harlan Ellison's "I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream," "The Divergent Trilogy" by Veronica Roth, and the works of Stephen King. That's all I can remember for now.

3. Hah, no, I have not. I probably won't in the foreseeable future.

4. The PandaBook concept sounds awesome! I'd say definitely give it a shot.

Ty, I hope you have a lovely day too! ✌️🕊️

1. Umm probably Contemporary Fiction, Poetry, or Fantasy
2. I can't chose 😅
3. No, I've always wanted to publish a horror short story but haven't had the time to do it.
4. Bp needs more readers! I'm up for it!

Ayy fantasy! not me collecting fantasy readers rn, I’m heavily biased. I like contemporary fiction too, and love listening to poetry, but sadly I am bad at writing it.

My fav poet is Andrea Gibson, they're use of language and verse is powerful, and they write on stuff from queer poetry to cancer to the environment. They also have a YouTube channel as well as published books. Otherwise, I would just look for posts/poems that interest you!

I've never ever read "Never Never", but I never ever hope to never never read "Never Never". Ever I ever never read "Never Never", then I'll never ever forgive myself, ever. (sorry I had to do it 😝)
