Girl Scout camp in the 90's. I fell, spraining my ankle & twisting my foot the very first night. So, I was on crutches for six days in the "wilderness." My parents didn't know I was even hurt until I hobbled towards them with my bag when they came to pick me up. The nurse called & got our house answering machine (it was the 90's) but didn't leave a message. I never went to another camp again.
