Now this is an amazing breakfast! I remember visiting an old friend in Istanbul and will never forget just how incredible the food was. I loved the stall in Istanbul that sold fresh Simit and other breads.

Oops I almost forgot the "Müsli" that many Germans eat too (cereals with fruits, seeds/nuts and milk or a vegan milk alternative). I do not have a sweet tooth, so no Müsli for me.

Yeah, not only Germans (and Swiss) will understand. Most countries in Europe (and probably others outside of Europe eat Müsli (cereal). To be fair, most Germans I know here don't eat Müsli for breakfast, they prefer bread and/or bread rolls with cold meats, cheese, jam etc...

Sorry, I did't read before today, and excuse me, my english is not "very good lookin'". I will explain. In first place plantains is not the same as bananas. it is harder to the touch and the flavor is different, mostly similar to that of a courgette. It is typical of the coast of my country. It is the main food of the people in that region because it can be prepared in many ways. It is not sweet unless it is allowed to ripen and even then it is not as appetizing as a banana, it must be cooked before it can be eaten. It is not a fruit but rather a vegetable. It is eaten fried, roasted or cooked in boiling water, with different accompaniments such as meat, chicken, fish or mainly shellfish.

OMG so many rich breakfasts, mine´s rather modest with some full grain or crisp bread with cheese or veggie/vegan pate on it and a big cup of coffee, but I think in hotter countries than Germany people don´t have much food for lunch in the noon heat and eventually also not very much for supper. But a very interesting post, thanks for publishing, I´m always interested in other countries and their uses/traditions, in Germany we´d say I love to look over the rim of my dish (Ich schaue gern über den Tellerrand). In this case in the truest sense of the words.

Breakfast in Australia is pretty basic, unless it's a weekend brunch, then smashed avo and poached eggs is common, as is a full fried breakfast. Other wise it's usually toast or cereal.

Interesting topic. But I saw 4 very different types of breakfast: A) the breakfast one normally eats; B) the Instagram/hip breakfast that's good for pics and our conscience but who the heck has time to prepare on a normal day; C) the typical or traditional breakfast of a certain area/country/culture; and D) the breakfast we can find for sale (on a hotel, coffee shop etc). A) and C) are the most interesting to me.

I tried loading a picture but it says it should 700 px at least, what is that supposed to mean? I tried different pictures with same result, can anyone help please?

It means the pic needs to be at least 700 pixels (width) minimum to upload. You need to use an image program of some sort to edit it to be 700 pixels wide. And if it has a checkbox to maintain the aspect ratio, you should check that first, then change the width to 700.
