Not necessarily. For instance, I sometimes draw the characters from a story I was writing about people who were genetically mutated and could become anthropomorphic animals. Like if Virals, Maximum Ride, and Animorphs became one novel. It's not furries, because nobody is wearing creepy animated costumes.
