A couple days ago my partner left me and I haven’t been doing the best without him. I’d love to hear if anyone has advice on dealing with this :,]

Before anyone calls me a dumba55 and tells me to just move on, I’m clingy and have suffered with attachment issues my entire life :|. Any advice is appreciated 💚 maybe sharing your experience will help you let some negative feelings out. I dunno.

When you start seeing someone you are making a path to them, first with your thoughts and then into their lives. As you clear the way, the path becomes a habit, going to and from them. The only way to break the habit is to look around and notice all the many lovely new paths there are for you to make to new interests, people and experiences and then start the work of making new paths. Eventually the old path will fill in again, weeds will cover the bad times and they will be forgotten. By then you'll have cleared many other soft paths that make up your new life and habits. Takes time, but can be a really free and fun process making your new paths if you try really hard to look at it that way! I wish you luck!💕

Things that have helped me in the past: watching a new TV show, a large puzzle, reading an easy novel, learning a new language, sports.
