Fictional characters, hands down. Your favourite celebrities may be terrible people when the cameras aren't rolling, or when they aren't performing, though one of my favourite celebrities is a very nice guy when the cameras are rolling (Georges St-Pierre).

Unfortunately, meeting my favorite fictional character would probably kill me due to radiation poisoning, and one of my favorite celebrities disappeared in New Mexico 48 years ago Gogilla-64...52fc2c.jpg Gogilla-647100252fc2c.jpg

Fictional. Who wouldn't want to meet Finn and Jake or Eda Clawthorne or Courtney (Dead End) or any of the dogs from Paw Patrol or Toph or Iroh. I certainly wouldn't give up the offer if I had it.

Past self. I don't think I would recognize myself. It might change events for my present self. But I just want to go back in time and give past self someone to hang out with and tell me that I'm pretty cool and to remind myself to ease up around people. Also to warn myself that my bff isn't really that good of a friend. She'll grow up to be pitching It Works and contact me out of the blue after a near 20 years.

Just going by raw numbers, at $52,000/yr it would take over 192 years to amass $10M so the choice is pretty clear.

10 million, because with 1.000 bucks a week I would only get 2.080.000 within my estimated life span left. Deposit the 10 million and set a limit you can spend max. per week to keep it in check. Or take a 20% for the 1.000 per week approach and invest the rest elsewhere

1000 weekly. 10 million could easily go away. 1000 can add up and I’d be able to live comfortably if needed.

    Community Member
2 years ago (edited) Created by potrace 1.15, written by Peter Selinger 2001-2017

I'm of the same mind. 10 million immediately is nice, but some people over-extend with spending when they fall into a large amount of money, and could end up worse than before they had the money (some lottery winners can even go bankrupt if they aren't smart with their money). $1000 weekly is a nice safety net in case something happens, like you get fired or laid off.

Let's do some math: 52 weeks in a years, so $52000 in a year. Average human lifetime is about 75 years. That's about $4 million in a lifetime. I would rather the $10 million. I would donate half to charities, a fourth for savings/descendants and the rest for myself. This works well for me because for a family of 4 to live comfortably in middle class, it takes one person earning a total of about $2 million. I definitely overthought this but I found it fun to do the math

Tick Tock I can ignore. Youtube needs to focus on actually doing something about the heinous videos it keeps up, even after reporting them. They're so worried about words but will still allow videos of Russian children in gymnastics being forced to over-stretch by 90 degrees by their instructor while screaming in agony. I stumbled upon these by accident when looking for just gymnastics videos.

Like, can’t get a job and you have just enough to pay rent? Or you have just enough that you’re rich enough that you don’t need a job? If it’s the first one, I pick that. If not, I pick long working hours. I’d do a job that I love, so I wouldn’t mind working long hours and I get paid a lot for it.

Tough one. I can see that a dragon would be really cool to have as a pet. Free airmiles. HOWEVER it might eat too much and probably burninator stuff too much. So probably going with fictional person as a significant other. In which case, Hermione Granger. She's disciplinarian, feminist, anti-slavery, hot, smart, and can do anything with her magic. Bed bugs or ticks in your house

We got bed bugs once and that is an experience I never want to have again. You literally cannot kill them with any kind of spray or bug bomb. They multiply like crazy and burrow into wood, clothing, books, furniture, everything. To get rid of them you have to call an exterminator, then remove any pictures, artwork, aerosol cans, bath products, musical instruments, all kinds of stuff. Then the exterminator comes in and blast your entire house with some ungodly amount of heat for like 4 hours. Then you have dead bed bugs to deal with. The exterminator alone cost us $4,000. Granted, I didn't shop around because... bed bugs.

Having a bedbug infestation in my house before, we had to be gone for two days, and we had to wash literally everything at the laundromat. It took forever, had to get a new bed. Btw, I slept in the laundromat. It was fun, they had games and I had awesome snacks. But we were really really poor, I can’t imagine the price.

My mom is currently going through this. Her stepmom (but they’re still as close as mother-daughter) is getting old and becoming mentally impaired. It’s a big hassle, and her and her sisters are trying to figure out what to do with her. I’d pick to raise 2 kids, especially because I don’t want to think about my parents like that.

You're right. I've come to resent my father who is severely mentally impaired. They call it broad spectrum dementia, not Alzheimer's. He can't control anger, hits people, Does some of the most bizarre things but to him they are not weird and I'm interfering. He has no sense of personal body safety, refuses to use, take, or do anything anyone tells him to do, like use a walker (many falls and calls to 911), wear his hearing aids, wear his emergency call button, or ask for help for anything. And I'm a liar, a thief, and not very smart. I wish I could only have good memories but right now, and for the last 6 years they're all bad.

I can't imagine doing what I do every night, putting my mom to bed, then coming back to my husband and also having to help make sure the kids are ready for bed,ake sure lunches are made and homework is done and schoolwork is ready...I cannot believe people are doing this.

money. Money can buy love. I am old. I have had poverty and wealth. I have had loveless marriage and nuclear grade love. I promise you money can buy anything including happiness. Hear me out. What is the biggest cause of marital breakups? Answer: infidelity and/or money problems. Infidelity is usually caused by low self-esteem in the male when he isn't earning enough, so he feels useless and tries to recoup it by cheating. Hence: money is the problem. Thus, to have a happy marriage, money must be stable. So infinite money means an infinitely happy marriage. Now. If you mean infinite love in the spiritual sense: suppose the world as Buddha says is full of suffering. Most of that suffering is due to poverty. Almost all suffering in fact. Even unexpected deaths etc. can be prevented with money. SO. If you have infinite money, you can eradicate poverty world-over and make everyone happy. THEREFORE, again, infinite money.

Again, money. As long as the spouse isn't abusive. They can be negligent or indifferent, that's fine. Because you can use their wealth to develop wealth on the side, and then leave them to find true love. If the spouse is abusive (actively attacks you), then no, marry for love.

Marry for love and be happy - this doesn't outright say that the love would be the only making making me happy, therefore if I chose this option, I would be married to someone I love and have enough money to live comfortably, since that is also required for me to be happy.

Money. As long as the person isn't insufferable, you can develop a rapport and relationship. If you marry for love and stay poor, there will be dozens of sacrifices you'll have to make. Those sacrifices may eventually lead to love waning thin, and then bitterness.

It’s where I would feel safest and least homesick. 3. Travel (but by travel, I mean take vacations to Disney World, cruises, hiking in Colorado. I'm gonna compare this to something that my dad used to do when I was a kid. I was a bit rambunctious as a child and often found myself getting in trouble. Sometimes my dad would give me a choice- a spanking or getting sent to my room. I HATED getting sent to my room so I would choose a spanking. He'd administer punishment and I would go back out and play. LOL So, I would choose the 15 consecutive minutes every day so I could go ahead and get it over with. ;)

I might be reading too much into this, but if being headless means my head is separated from my body, but my body is still able to function (like a Dullahan, or the Headless Horseman), I would take the latter. The two recent shows I saw that featured Dullahan's, Durarara and Interviews with Monster Girls, had the characters still moving regardless (though the latter was a body holding her head) of their heads not being attached to their bodies. I'd equate the former (lose my head) as being decapitated.

Human virus. I write books (all not even halfway done) and I wouldn’t want to lose my progress, that’d be devastating. (Edit: my books are on my computer.)

Would you rather work with overly polite co workers or ones that are extreme introverts that distant themselves from everyone.

The person I consider my best friend doesn’t consider me her best friend but instead considers a secretly very toxic and manipulative person her best friend, so marry my crush.

$200 to a good cause. That can save lives too, if it’s to try stopping poverty or research going to cure cancer or something. Also because needles are pointy.

I’d say you simply wouldn’t be able to hear the music, but it’s hard question even for me that’s why I didn’t put my answer 😂

Oh my gosh. I read and listen to music every single day. Multiple times a day. This question is tearing my soul apart. But I guess… never be able to read again. I will have to fill my soul with audiobooks instead (and I hate audiobooks).
