For those who have ever worked in an ER what are some of the most stupidest complaints a patient has to visit an ER?

I will start. A lady calling 911 to request ambulance to take her to ER cause she cut herself shaving her leg. Legit 1 inch cut that ER doc put in one stitch and sent her on her way.

It wasn’t his fault.
About ten years ago, my husband had a heart catheterization femoral (catheter is inserted at the artery in the inner side of the upper thigh). The next two days every step he took felt like a kick in the crotch. Finally, when he could barely walk, I took him in. Turns out that the surgical nurse had taped his nut sack to his thigh.
No way I could ever get that off for him.

Quite a few parents of my students would take them to the ER - often in the middle of the night - when they had a sore throat or upset stomach. 1. This would cause a crowded waiting room where those actually having an emergency would not be seen as quickly as they might otherwise have been. 2. A false picture of a true emergency would be believed at school because “ ____ had to go to the hospital last night!“ which would lead to future disbelief in the severity of a problem when there was in fact a true emergency. This would tend to reduce awareness throughout the day when it would have been prudent to keep in mind the fact that a child had been sick enough to go to the hospital the night before. When a teacher knows a child has been that sick the night before, they will generally keep an eye out cos any problems.
