Ghilian, the sad face, because most of the kids are not like this, and parents to...kids nowadays just go on the internet and buy stuffs like ipad, iphone etc..

Noo..but can you imagine if he never did this for kids who had cancer previously, how hard hit he would have been if he got cancer now? He would have been totally unprepared, treading in new territory for the first time. Lets say he would have gotten cancer regardless of whether he helped them or not previously. As opposed to a boy who did not have any interaction nor knowledge nor experience with cancer patients, empathy of their difficulties,I think his two years experience, has made it less shocking and painful to bear that he has cancer..from his two years experience, he probably has made a lot of friends who has cancer who would be able to give him the emotional and moral support he needs to get through this tough time.

Yes, having cancer is tough and difficult and crippling. But what I just meant was that I think bcos of what he had set out to do for these patients in the past two years, it made him stronger to face his illness when he was diagnosed with it too.
