Kids are the best… right? Well, even though everyone has one or two annoying encounters with children, they do have something really special in their hearts that all grown-ups wish they will never lose. In fact, sometimes they manage to do such unique and brave things, that most of us should learn from them how to live our lives just the way we want to. Today’s story features a 3-year-old girl named Lucia that didn’t care what others might think while organizing her birthday party and the Internet absolutely loved it.

Recently, one Internet user named Andrea shared some pictures from her niece’s birthday
Her niece named Lucia that lives in Monterrey, Mexico is definitely a unique child as she demanded to have her birthday party theme on the movie ‘The Nun’, a mystery/thriller that came out last September. In an interview with Bored Panda, her aunt Andrea said “I was laughing so hard when I first saw the theme of the party, I thought it was a joke at first but turns out Lucia had insisted on it being based of the Nun.”
Lucia first saw the movie at her grandmother’s house and insisted on watching all of it
After watching the movie, Lucia insisted on her birthday party having this theme
Andrea said that all the other kids reacted pretty well, some even painted their faces too.
Lucia even got a response from ‘The nun’ herself
Laura, Lucia’s mother, says the demonic nun has been her daughter’s favorite movie character since she watched the movie.

After this post, people started sharing images of other kid’s parties that had similar scary themes
American horror movie filmmaker Jordan Peele even offered himself to be Lucia’s godfather
“I NEVER thought it would get to this degree of popularity. I hadn’t even known that Jordan Peele saw it till one of my friends reached out to me and told me, so mind-blowing,” Andrea said in an interview with Bored Panda.
While others couldn’t help but share their fascination with this unique girl

So you've let your 3 year old watch a 15 Rated film. Well done; hope you are proud. Let your children have a 'CHILDhood', don't drag them into your twisted world, they will make their own way there eventually.
Here it's an 18 rated film. Ridiculous

it's not like the child was tied to a chair and forced to watch it. She WANTED to watch it after seeing it on the tv. No biggie. it's best to get children used to scary movies early... that way they aren't scared later on. I personally was never allowed to watch them and now I can't stand them... they scare the hell out of me (I'm a sissy when it comes to them actually and it always embarrassed me growing up). BUT my daughter can watch them and enjoy them with her dad, since he started her early with them. Whenever she watches them with her dad I am always so proud of her, since I know I can't do it. LOL
So you would apply your same 'logic' to porn and snuff videos? After all 'it's not like the child was tied to a chair and forced to watch it'. SHE IS THREE!... sometimes you have to say 'No', that's what being a parent involves. You have to make appropriate decisions for your child.

Better not let your kids walk outside, they could be run over! Better not let them go to school, they could get shot up!! You need to control your paranoia. And grow a pair while you're at it.
damn… my 10 and 8 yo got scared at the end of kindgarden cop with arnie
You misunderstood me I don't think it is any artist's fault i am talking more about parenting it's not hard to monitor what a 3 year old watches and honestly a 3 year old has no business watching anything like that and who knows what effect it has in the long run children are like sponges they take in everything around them they are also individuals and use what they take in in different ways I dont believe in censorship I believe in parenting
What? Who lets a three year old watch this? As a teacher I had so many parents say things like "I'm trying to give my child a chance to experience many things." Or, "I'm just trying to prepare my child for ....(fill in something ridiculous)." This translates to, "I am going to expose my children to things (you pick the garbage or trauma) that they are neither developmentally nor emotionally equipped to handle. Idiots.
Or - I don't see why my life should change and I should stop watching what I want when I want just because I have a kid......just pure selfishness really with no thought for the effect on the kid.
Umm, sorry, very bad parenting all around here, nun, Chucky, Shaun of the dead? Not children's movies!!
How can a 3 year old girl be fan of a movie thats not suited for children?
Honestly, I kinda feel sorry for kids whose parents are that strict. I believe communication is the key, not restriction in itself. Kids who grow up with too much limitations, as soon as they're no longer supervised, they tend to go wild and not know how to take care of themselves.
Iam now a hardcorefan and always on the search for better ones. But i know exactly how to take care of myself and i know whats fiction and whats real. And now i think my parents did well, as they did. I watched jurassic park anyways with eleven. ;)
Well you just read an article about a 3 year old being suited to it so..
Aye, and dont think about it and dont question it, just take it as it is... When everyone does this then fuck the humanity... XD
Even jurassic Park was forbidden for me when it came up and i was eleven...
First of all, why are 4 year olds watching horror movies?
I watched horror films as a kid and I tuned out fine. I only have 3 dead bodies in my basement.

because she wanted to.... please explain the harm...
Warping a child's mind causing them nightmares turning them dark instead of normal. Let's completely numb a child to negative and bad things so when they're older they end up a sociopath.
There's a lot of sick shit in movies to get idiots to watch. It's not just suspense. Use your brain, eh?
My 3 year old watched Child's Play and loved it. We were very busy in the kitchen cooking dinner for guests arriving soon and we told her to put on a movie to watch. My son-in-law came in the room and said, "Uhh...are you guys letting her watch this???" We looked up and we were shocked! Tried to switch the channel and she threw a fit. She had never been a tantrum type kid. We caved and figured she would have nightmares. But nope. She has LOVED scary movies ever since. She's 11 now and very involved in Theater at school. She loves to draw, work with makeup and costumes. She loves all kinds of kid movies because she's interested in the different types of animation. She listens primarily to show tunes and plays the Hamilton soundtrack ad nauseam. She wants to either be a makeup artist, a doctor, or create animation. She's happy, healthy and her teachers think she's a very smart and talented kid. Still not a movie I would have chosen but all is well.
I'm sixteen-years-old and can't watch a horror movie because I get nightmares for days, weeks, months, sometimes even years (it depends on how high the "scary" factor is).
Dark kids are the best kids. IMG_5924-5...cdfccd.jpg
Omg imagine seeing that little girl in a dark alley. Such a creepy costume. I love it
Why would this family let a 3 year old watch an R rated movie? She'll be in the therapist's office when she grows older, wondering why she has nightmares and is afraid of nuns. Just like my client who watched Chucky and is afraid of dolls
WTF...that's messed up. Judging by the other comments here I see I am not alone in thinking this. What kind of crap parenting is going on out there??
Question is, why would a 3 year old know if this??
Damn. I walked out of the Nun last year...
I saw worse in real life as a child then any horror film. Lol Worse things out there and what people can do to you then some scary movie.
Just because you suffered things doesn't mean parents of young children should be okay with exposing them to horror films. We now have a world full of psychopaths shooting up people left right and center. The derangement starts SOMEWHERE. people need to be more careful what they expose to children to.
My lil bro nad everyone else in family likes horor and ghosts too. Nothing wrong about this
My parents took me to see Texas Chainsaw Massacre in '76 when I was 5. I've been a horror fan ever since. I couldn't really have a birthday party with a theme though because I had the same birthday as my older sister, 8 years apart. She got the party, I got a cupcake.
Maybe early exposure to that kind of violence in movies and TV is why kids today are growing up going to school and blowing each other away
Prove it. If you can, you are better than every single psychologist that has ever been because it has never been proven that that is the case.
Nah, my generation watched horror films and we all turned out normal. School shooters were probably the kids who weren't allowed to go to the end of the street on their own until they were 14
The daftness is strong in this one ...
Yep. It's always the movies/games/musicians' fault. It has always been. (Sarcasm, btw)
Of course, in the 80's it was heavy metal.
Kudos to her parents.. all of the parents that let their kids Express themselves! Love it

Raised my daughter since 2 on animated horror via "Doom" (the original PC version) ... it was how I got her to go to bed (once I died, it was bedtime) ... as she got older and more developed, I explained to her the difference between fantasy and reality and why horror is nothing more than entertainment, sometimes based on reality, but not all the time ... same way with music ... to this day, she will watch a mix of cartoons, horror and action movies ... meanwhile, she's protective about her siblings and still asks me to start the showers and cut her steaks, but just got her license ... bottom line, take control of your children's experiences and they won't be at the mercy of the way others will teach them, which will, in all likelihood, be bad ...

BTW, it's really disturbing that kids this young watch movies for much older people. I just hope they parents don't let them watch porn as well

I guess next party will be themed "Religous Jews" and one after that "Religous Women wearing Hijabs"? No? Why not? If we're making fun of religion, lets have fun of all of them!
That's not the point being made here at all... Catholicism has been mocked for its insanity for years. No other religion to my knowledge is as harsh and as strict as them. Even Christians are not as harsh as diehard Catholics. Moms Christian and calm about it my aunts Catholic and you cant say geeze because it's an abbreviation of jesus christ in her mind
