You never know, when you’ll need a hero. On Valentine’s Day, 19-year-old Nikolas Cruz opened fire with an AR-15 semi-automatic rifle at his former school Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. As a result, 17 people have been confirmed dead and at least 50 were injured, but there may have been more casualties if it wasn’t for coach Aaron Feis.
According to eye-witness reports, the coach, who also worked as a security guard at the school for at least eight years, threw himself in front of bullets to shield students from the gunman. A tribute was paid to Mr. Feis on Twitter after user Angelica Losada declared that he was in a “critical condition” after his heroic act. “This, ladies and gentlemen, if the face of a hero,” she wrote.
Sadly, the fate of Mr. Feis is still unknown. Conflicting reports are surfacing on the internet, announcing that the hero has either passed away or still is fighting for his life in critical condition. If you have any news about the current condition of coach Feis, email us at rokas.l@boredpanda.com.

There may have been more casualties if it wasn’t for coach
People started sharing their own personal memories about the coach
Though some reports claim that the coach, sadly, passed away, it is still not officially confirmed
Other people that did not know him were sad for him as well
That's what happpens when American politicians are busier caring about guns than caring about gun control and dealing with mental health issues. Get your sh** together America, you can't keep losing your kids to these shootings because politicians are too corrupt to care!
I don't think they give a damn about who does and does not have guns...what they care about is the amount of money they get from the gun lobbyists. It is and will always be about money.

We need to stop producing automatic rifles. Hunting rifles and handguns have their place, but automatic weapons are only used to hunt people. It's not American. It's not "manly." It's not a "right" to own these weapons. I'm sick of people saying if you take my guns, you take my freedom!! No, if we take your automatic weapons, we SAVE LIVES. End of story.
Just the usual school shooting. And this s**t has been going on for decades. America, you're hopeless.
agree with you. and still they want to keep their gun. they're sick people.

That must've been scary! I'm just glad that the Government passed gun control after that. We haven't had a mass shooting since then (you hear that America? Gun control does work)

*shootings. And it's probably the same for most European countries.

I'm in Canada and i felt safe at school, i felt safe in the road, i feel safe at work. not because i know because my co-worker had a gun and can protect me, but because i know their are not a damn nut job who had 24 gun in his closet!
In my school we have to keep all classroom doors locked in case a shooter comes

This is so sad and awful. I'm not an American citizen and I can't vote, but someone has to protect US children and the people who teach them. No one should go to school thinking they might not come home that day. Please, US, wake up. Vote. Pass bills.
It happened again today.. At the Central Michigan University.. No more guns... :( https://www.cnn.com/2018/03/02/us/central-michigan-university-shots-fired/index.html
Today in a meeting with students from Douglas, at the White House, the "President" asked about what would have happened if Coach Feis had been armed, because then, the "President" said, he wouldn't have been shot "running away". Yup. He really said that. Check it out. Not fake.
This man deserves to be honored!!! Tag your name in the comments and pray that he stays alive!! #couchfeis
In Britain It is illegal to own a gun and even owning replica gun or being found with one without a good reason is likely to get you arrested. It is only recently that more police officers carry guns and most do not. We have as much a need to protect ourselves as anyone but we do not have "The Right To Bear Arms" to do so and yet we still manage it. In the whole of Europe ,let alone just Britain we have not had as many gun shoot outs in the past decade as you have had in the US in the past year and In Britain the last school shooting happened in Dunblane Scotland in March 1996 . No guns, no school shootings. Simple.
Yes, but look at the Ariana Grande Manchester concert and all the times when trucks plowed through crowds. Bad people will use whatever means possible to do bad things.

It remains the deadliest mass shooting in British history. Public debate about the killings centred on gun control laws, including public petitions calling for a ban on private ownership of handguns and an official inquiry, which produced the 1996 Cullen Reports. In response to this debate, two new Firearms Acts were passed, which greatly restricted private ownership of firearms in Great Britain. The Cullen Reports, the result of the inquiry into the massacre, recommended that the government introduce tighter controls on handgun ownership and consider whether an outright ban on private ownership would be in the public interest in the alternative (though club ownership would be maintained). The report also recommended changes in school. If Britain can do this why not America?
Sure, the blame falls on the person.... But it also falls on this country, where literally ANYONE can get a gun at any time. It falls on all of us, because we don't do a damn thing about it. This simply doesn't happen in other countries like it happens here. Something needs to be done, but until people are willing to stop pretending like their guns are more important than a child's life, this will keep happening.
