Local Karen Spots A Woman Taking Her Emotional Support Pig On A Walk And Loses It
When there is a need for some emotional support, our animals are always there for us, making things seem a little bit lighter, wrapping us in unconditional love and making things better by just being. Perhaps the most common animals for such a responsibility are dogs or cats, but essentially, it can be anything that the person feels they resonate with. Pigs, on the other hand, are mostly not on the top of the list for support animals and are often labelled as livestock, although in recent years, pigs of different sizes are finding a place in people’s houses as pets and get well-deserved treatment like any other domestic animals.
Sometimes people find it hard to wrap their heads around different things that happen around them. That’s what happened to one local “Karen” in a video that went viral. It shows a woman harassing two other women as they walk with their pig on a leash and perhaps one of the hardest things for her to grasp was the fact that the pig was an emotional support animal.
More info: Reddit
This lady couldn’t believe her eyes that two women were strolling in the park walking a pig

This woman who, later in the video, not without a reason, gains the name “Karen,” approached two others as they were walking a pig on a leash through “her neighborhood” and firstly wanted to find out why someone had a pig in the middle of a park. One of the two women walking the pig called Chorizo (actual name) filmed “Karen” yelling and threatening to call the local homeowners association—which, as pointed out by the pig owners, are already aware of their animal. “Karen” claimed that she knows everything about the area and had never seen the women or the huge pig.
The irritating lady nicknamed by the pig owners as “Karen” claimed that dogs in the park must be on a leash

Frustrated Karen, exclaiming “This is a community that has bylaws, and if you have a dog, you put it on a leash,” seemed to completely ignore the fact that the pig was actually on a leash, then moved on to screeching “It’s huge.” The pig, on the other hand, appeared to be really peaceful, nibbling away on the grass and ignoring the angry “Karen.” As Karen continued to follow the ladies and the pig, it decided to bake a healthy-sized loaf, which totally shocked the screaming lady: “Look at that, right on our lawn!” which appeared rather unnecessary as the action took place in a public park.
The owners pointed out the obvious, that their emotional support pig in fact is on a leash

The pig owners proceeded to collect the manure from the grass with the empty bags they brought, as Karen was in awe of how much of it there was. One of the pig owners pointed out that dogs defecate all the time, as well as other animals. As the annoyed lady carried on yelling, the two women advised her to get in touch with a lawyer if she has so much trouble with emotional support animals, but she insists she ought to call the HOA regardless of the fact that they have already been informed about the pig.
What really fascinated and left Karen speechless was that when the pig had to do the doo, the owner collected it with a bag

The two women asked the intimidating lady to leave them alone to get on with their pleasant walk, but Karen was persistent

The video was posted on Reddit’s community r/PublicFreakout, a subreddit dedicated to people freaking out, melting down, losing their cool, or being weird in public. The community has 3.2M members and is full of similar examples of random people losing it and taking it out on others. The comments from the users went from pointing out that Karen was finding it hard figuring out what she was even angry about, to people admiring the pig and supporting the pig and its owners.

Karen carried on having a hard time to grasping that pigs can be emotional support animals

Eventually the owners told Karen that if she would not comply and leave them to their peaceful walk alone, they would call the police. Karen seemed to ignore that and carried on not understanding that any animal can serve as a support animal and continued to follow the strolling trio till she walked away, declaring that she will be “following up on this.”

And as any self-respecting neighborhood Karen would, she highlighted the fact that nothing passes by her eyes in this area

And of course, Karen couldn’t let go of the idea that she must contact the local HOA and let them know about the pig—about which they knew already, as the owners informed them

Still, Karen was on about the fact that she hasn’t come across a pig as an emotional support animal, and she just seemed bewildered by that
The ladies with their pet pig didn’t take long to figure out what the annoying woman’s name was
Karen’s persistence and annoyance drove the two women to the point of them actually having to say that they would call the police if she didn’t leave them alone
As there was no manager to speak to, Karen decided to leave and promised to definitely give a closer investigation into what had just happened
And the ladies with the pig couldn’t be more relieved to get rid of the neighborhood Karen

The video of the two women with their pet pig getting harassed by a Karen is pretty hilarious

Share on FacebookI find it odd that Americans bang on endlessly about individual "liberty" and "freedom" and then they all set up these weird 'Home Owner Associations' that literally micro-manage people's domestic lives. Very strange.
I also had a chicken named nugget that passed last week and I still have pigs named ham and bacon
Load More Replies...While I find it odd that all sorts of emotional support animals exists in the US seemingly with little regulation and it is not clear who really needs one, I am sure the harassing lady could use emotional support for good. Besides: these home owners' associations seem to be a curse.
Actually, there is regulation, but people will say that their pets are "emotional support animals" despite the animal not having been trained for that purpose. If memory serves, support animals have to have specific training and there's a whole process to be legally considered a "support animal" in the US, but people abuse it. And up until fairly recently I don't think places checked to see if a person claiming an animal was for support checked, but I believe that's changing. Idk, not every animal can be a support animal, but whether that pig is or not, having a pet pig is not that weird. A lot of people have pet pigs. Don't know why that woman was so confused about it??? I mean, it's just a pig...
Load More Replies...I think the crazy lady needs an emotional support animal herself. I suggest a .... parrot?
I read of a parrot that actually told calming phrases to someone with anger issues. It worked.
Load More Replies...I think if I saw someone walking a big ol' pig in the park, I'd have some questions of my own. Like "What's its name?" "Where'd you get it?" , "Can I pet it?" and "Oh your such a big ol' piggy. Are a good piggy? Are you the piggy that had roast beef or the one the cried wee wee wee all the way home?"
I would be so excited! And would definitely be asking to pet that pig. I mean look at him. He's absolutely glorious and so clean he's literally shiny!
Load More Replies...I'd sooner live in a neighbourhood with well behaved pigs on leads than crazy Karens roaming about.
How miserable do you gotta be to feel the need to confront someone over a pig? Why? I don't get it. Why do people care about what other people do? Yesterday this dude was going on and on about trans people getting married and I asked why he cared, in what way did it impact him so much that he just could not shut the hell up about it. People, mind you own business. Unless someone or something is causing harm then why do would you care either way? Shocks me every time.
Just a busybody who feels she has to stick her nose into everything and find some way to feel justified about being so damn emotionally crippled
Load More Replies...Not going to lie, I would have questions. But I would a) not be filming it, b) not be flailing around like a Canadian Goose, and c) only if I could do so in a way that was polite and respectful and stopping if they got uncomfortable. Curiosity is one thing. Threatening to call a lawyer is something else.

Lukas Garnelis and Irmante Sungailaite can you please just use "crazy woman" in your article instead of the name Karen? Getting really tired of this name being shamed constantly.
True. My mother has a wonderful friend who is constantly being annoyed because of her name. Karen. Shes a really nice lass but that name ruined everything.

It is so strange to me the people get upset over other people's emotional support animal. Shouldn't people be happy that other people are happy? Who cares what animal they have if it makes them happy. They could have an emotional support rock, who cares if it helps a person and brings their life joy it is doing the opposite of harm. Why are some people always just so angry at others for silly reasons such as being happy? I just do not understand some people. It must be really sad being this Karen. Imagine living a life where other people's happiness makes you so angry.
If that happened to me and i had a farm i would go back there each day with a different animal! But the cow is on a lead. Why not you?
I’d bring a leopard at that point, “you can’t bring that-“ “RAWR”

We do have a lot of regulations here (UK) if someone does want to walk a pig in public, due to disease etc but no-one would act like that, it's absolute madness, how empty does your life have to be to have to act like this? I would lose patience with her quickly.
I like the pig. It is a VERY big pig. It looks sweet and awesome though. Also, I love hearing stories about Karens. They’re hilarious 😂
i,m sure i,ll get downvoted for this but if someone actually comes up to u like that in ireland you,d get all up in their face and tell them to f**k off while they still have the chance. you wont see many videos of people being filmed on their phones because that person would more than likely get their phone smashed off the pavement
I genuinely do *not* understand why these "Karens" feel this compulsion to stick their noses into other people's business.
I think people go a little overboard with the emotional support animal" thing, but as long as they're cleaning up after it and not doing anything illegal or letting the animal harass others, I don't care if they have a dog, cat, or a ring-tailed lemur.
The only weird thing I see in this video is one crazy bitch running loose in the park. Pig is behaving very well 😁😎
If I saw somebody walking a pig, I'd think "that's bad-ass" and complement the owners for having such a pretty pig. Karen needs to get a life.
My late mother-in-law had a pet pig. She walked the pig on a leash, it went to the bathroom outside and she taught it basic obedience commands(sit, stay, etc). The pig was cleaner and easier to train than a lot of dogs.
Here's how you deal with Karens and Kyles...................totally, completely, and absolutely IGNORE THEM. Act like you don't hear them, see them, or notice them in any way. Go about your business as usual. And if they touch you, your kids, or your pet......keep calm, call the police and tell them you are being subjugated, harassed, tormented, and assaulted by a violent psychotic and you need help immediately. If the Karen or Kyle runs for it, try to get their picture, their license plate, etc....without getting in their way. Make sure you have witnesses.
Kudos to those ladies for not really losing it on Karen. It would take every fiber of my being not to put the fear of God in that nosy, out-of-line, f#cking d bag. Chorizo has far more dignity than that trash talking loser.

I then "flamingoed" the clubhouse with 25 pink flamingos. In case they were in need of a flamingo.
Ffs... ... this Karen loves piggies. Stop using my name you jerks.
When we were looking to buy a house, I told the realtor my priorities were good schools, lots of trees and no home owners association. The pig is awesome btw
Did anyone else hear her call the pig Chorizo near the end? I love that he's called Chorizo XD
I have a little chihuahua who isn’t my official support pet, but has been able to warn my mum about my type 1 diabetes going up/down many times. She sadly has a barking issue, but has never bitten ... probably because her abusive ex-owners knocked her around/neglected her so bad they’ve rotted & broken away! Her barking is out of fear & mistrust, as my mum & I are the only ones she won’t bark at. She’ll try to hide away from other people & she is SO afraid of being caught peeing/pooping where she shouldn’t, so we know there was physical abuse. When someone goes to pick her up, though? Even if it’s me OR my mum doing it, she will pee every time ... poor baby. Besides all the behavioural stuff, she somehow knows when I’m genuinely in need of immediate help & will bark to gain my mum’s attention & lead her right to me. If we could only manage to control her barking, she could go absolutely anywhere with me. Such a shame, as she could never harm anyone like the b@st@rds who hurt her... 🥺💔🐕
Your liberties ends where you deny me my liberties of the same. Now, Bugger off...
Could anyone with a Newfoundland, a Great Dane or an Irish Wolfhound, all of which would be bigger than the pig please join the ladies on their walk.
If it was me, I'd want to take a selfie with the piggy! The I would quietly whisper my apology for loving bacon and pork tenderloin.
Anything that violates their idea of a perfect world, proving that it's a fantasy, must be destroyed. Anything that proves that a world where everyone is middle class, straight, white, christian, and subservient, all the pets are dogs and all the cars are subarus, is a fantasy, that is.
They're too nice to her. These Karens need to be pushed back and away more seriously. Physically. I wouldn't take this that long, I must admit, I'd at least have pushed her on the path you see in the background. Harassment of that kind isn't to be accepted - and being nice towards those braindead idiots will not lead anywhere. They won't return the favour, or any favour to begin with - just push her onto the path. I'm not advertising violence, here, just getting rid of pesty vermins. Nobody is obligated to take their s**t any time, any place, any situation - rid yourself of that pest. The only language they understand is ... well, that.
Emotional support animal = pet. It's just a way of acting like you're entitled to take whatever animal you want anywhere. However, these ladies did nothing wrong; their pig is fantastic.
"But it's huge!" She could hardly find a reason for the pig to not be allowed. If that was a huge dog she wouldn't have said anything.
In this case I’m willing to give the ‘Karen’ the benefit of the doubt. She totally acted out of line, but who goes to the park expecting to see full sized livestock?
"As there was no manager to speak to, Karen decided to leave and promised to definitely give a closer investigation into what had just happened" LMAO
I love that 'Karen' is referred to as crazy lady. And personally I'd love to meet a polite pig in a park.
Too much time on her hands. Kids have probably flown the coop and now she has no one to tell how to live.
The only questions anyone should be asking about a clearly under control animal are what's its name and can I pet it/give it scritches? I bet Chorizo would have loved some nice ear scratches.
for one thing, I find the pig cute and I just wanna hug it, second what's up with people getting concerned about something that isn't bothering them!? If it's bothering u then just say it and leave them alone, but if it is not hurting you or bothering you. WHY MADE A BIG DEAL OVER IT!?
I don't really get this thing about "emotional support animals" but if it's not hurting anyone, and it's happy and healthy, enjoy your pet pig.
if I saw some people with a pet pig the only thing id want to do is pet it. Who cares how big it is! there are dogs just as large.
He’s eating the landscape. That made me laugh. I would have followed her home & waited till she was in the front room, then let my pig take a big turd on her front lawn. As Karen starts to blow, fists clenched, getting ready to stomp out, I’d gently take out my picking up poop bags & pick the turd up as she opened the front door. She’s be foaming at the mouth at this point & probably would call the police. “A pig has taken a huge poo on my lawn.” “Yes ma’am.” I’d wait. I’d show them the video. I would love to meet this lady & drag her through the coals.
🤣 sometimes I wonder if these women get laid. Ever. I hate pigs. But how the f**k is this woman’s pet pig anyone’s business? That woman does sound hyper though. But then like I said, does she get laid? That would be like, maybe problem solved...🤷🏻♀️
Pigs actually make great emotional support animals. Once they get past the busy piglet phase, they calm way down and spend most of their time relaxing. They give off a super calming vibe. They flop over for belly rubs and make these fabulous low grunting sounds. They like to sleep in a big pile so they love it when their person snuggles up and naps with them. Contrary to popular belief, pigs do not stink. I have 2. One smells like maple syrup because she has a rare genetic quirk and the other usually smell like hay. The most relaxing and peaceful part of my day is when I'm chilling with my pigs.
