Hi, my name is Brian Kim and I began creating relationship comics in 2017. I started making comics because I wanted to share my experience with relationships. I quickly found out that many people were able to relate to my experiences through these comics. It made me incredibly happy to know that I’m able to not only share my feelings with others but also bring couples together by creating relatable moments.
The characters in my comics are called Momos which are dumplings. I wanted to add an Asian touch to my characters since I’m Korean. I created these dumplings instead of creating human characters so anyone can relate to the comics.
The comics I make range in all spectrum of emotions because I believe couples in a healthy relationship experience all emotions. But even in the awkward or sad moments, I try to close the comic in a positive light by adding comic relief through the use of a Quack.
Creating comics makes me happy but I find greater joy in knowing that I’m able to bring couples closer together.
