distinguishing photographs as "art" is rather liberal, especially with laws to protect the people being photographed in place. What about the fitness guri photographing an elderly lady naked in the shower and posting it to social media without her permission? She got into a lot of trouble for that - should she have labeled that as "art" to get off scott-free? I can photograph you sunbathing naked in your yard, post it, and call it art. You don't like it? Too bad. Nice attitude you have there. I hope someone doesn't do this to you.

You totally misunderstood. I'm not saying that these people should be considered as no part of reality. Actually, you're the one doing it by calling these photos "art" and allowing this kind of behavior. What I'm saying is that they're all passed out. They don't even know someone snapped them while they were in this miserable state. And to top it off, the photos are now on Internet, seeable by anybody, and it doesn't seem they agreed to this. I'm not offended by the people on these photos, I'm offended by the person who took them and published them without the models' knowing, and apparently without offering some help. Just because someone is in public doesn't allow you to use their image as you please, without them agreeing. To ridicule passed out people is no one's job, and it became part of my business when it became public.

I've missed the artistic angle here, considering that BoredPanda defined this simply as "snaps of drunk people passed out in broad daylight".I could easily go into a bar and snap pictures of drunk people on my iPhone. Plenty of drunk girls crying in the streets on the weekends. Yeah, I'd rather look at Stanley Kubrick's photographs.

Ok guys no need to get upset here, the photos are online, we're just discussing them. Art is subjective...where you see a picture that disgust you or even leave you apathetic someone else might see something meaningful something that speaks to them. I have some friends that struggle with alcohol addiction...so "was" I. Seeing these pictures reminds me of the reality of the matter and the harshness of the real world....I can understand why some people would find those things offensive I guess, the real world can actually be pretty ugly and unattractive. Reality hurts if you look it straight in the eyes. You can chose to avoid it, saying things are disgusting saying that this is bulling to these people somehow that they should not be exposed to public (like they are not in real life)....Anyways, it depends on how you see it i guess..each to their own...all i'm saying is, you don't have to get offended for other people, that's their job and none of our business, i'd rather learn from them

It doesn't matter. Let's say you ripped your pants and ended up flashing people in public. I took a picture of it and posted it on my media making fun of you, and it became Viral. That's not free speech in my part--that's bordering on defamation, and you would have grounds to sue. If I took pics of half naked kids on the beach and started posting them-I could get in trouble. Being in public doesn't automatically give you access to people's bodies or the right to publish them.

You know the reason they're not tearing you up and putting you in your place is because snow flakes are to polite to point out other people's stupidity? I'm not. And all of your opinions are just that: subjective opinions. You speak as much for others as do the snow flakes. My personal opinion is that you come of as a bit circular (that's a euphemism for stupid in my personal vocabulary). If you're not allowed to rape or rob someone because they happened to pass out inebriated in public, you shouldn't be allowed to photograph people in this condition. Yes, it's in public, but it's still a matter of consent as the people photographed have no means to even know if they are in public, let alone take care of themselves. Maybe some of these people have a drinking problem because they have huge problems in their personal life..like an abusive ex-partner that's still tying to find them. You can't possibly know, because they can't be asked. These are portraits, not crowd shots.

You know what would have made that post worth it? A photo showing these people's reaction after seeing this pictures. At least it would have had a kind of meaning and also, it'd've had respected their privacy. Being in a public place doesn't allow anything 😮
