Piers Morgan Says That David Beckham Kissing His Daughter Is Creepy, And People From All Around The World Respond
On November 27, 2018, David Beckham posted a photo of him and his daughter in a skating rink. Although the Beckham family is often deemed classy and iconic by the general public, this time the retired football star received harsh criticism from people. You might ask what his crime was to deserve such scrutiny? He kissed his daughter on the lips. And some people really didn't like it, especially after Piers Morgan blasted Beckham on national television.
However, there were people who defended the father of four and questioned the outraged public, poking holes in their arguments and accusing them of sexualizing the situation needlessly. Other celebrities joined in and made their stance clear by posting photos where they kissed their children on the lips.
People expressed both, positive and negative opinions on the matter, drawing arguments from their own experiences and psychology books. Tell us which side you're on in the comment section below.

Kiss On Lips
I'm so happy I still have my father. And every time I see him I most definitely kiss him on the lips. Oh... by the way I just turned 60.
You are lucky! I wish I still had my father to be able to hug and kiss him again would be incredible. Enjoy your father while you still can!

@PeirsMorgan Wish i had a photo of me kissing my 4 year old Grandson on the lips. Oh...And one of his Great-Grandmother doing the same.
Piers Morgan is a petty piece of ¤%#"`. He always have something to hang his hat on.

My wonderful father often kissed me as a child and always made such an effort to let me he loved me. We were never a really rich family in money but in love we were trillionaires. All David is doing is being is a great and loving father and proving to the world what a great man he is. I feel sorry for Piers. He really doesn't know what real love is. Either that or he's just pissed that no one in their right mind would want to kiss him.
What the hell is wrong with this world? The only thing I find weird (and a little bit scary) is that people are looking so deeply into this.
Well, if we can discuss whether it is right or wrong to kiss childen on the lips (why doesn't everyone decide for theirself, ffs) we can forget for a moment that children are dying in Syria and Jemen, that we have incompetent politicians, and that we spoil the future of our planet. Isn't that comforting?

I do. I might be considered narrow minded or whatever, but I don't understand it. There are many ways you can show affection to a child, kiss their cheeks, forehead, hands... Why lips? As a child I found it extremely gross when an adult tried to do that, had an old aunt who did. I associate lips kissing with romantic stuff between adults. Everyone do you, I just won't kiss any kid on the mouth, ever.

What's weird is Piers Morgan's mind that thinks there's something untoward in kissing a loved one on the lips. Where are his thoughts going that he has a problem with this? Morgan is the one with issues, not the rest of the world...

And that just because an adult mouth can be filled of bacteria and virus thousands times more than a just-born mouth. The gesture in itself is a gesture of love and affection, nothing more, nothing else, with the exception of that 0.001% of parents that are not totally ok with their crooked minds....but this is another story.
Granted, I'm not very hip but who the hell is this Piers guy and why am I supposed to give a rats a*s what he says?
I am kissing my father goodbye on lips and I am 30. He has to hold my face with hands, because he´s almost blind. Go f**k yourself, Pier Morgan.
I see a guy called Piers Morgan publicly slating any celebrity (the more famous the better) - just to get his name in the papers. It was a peck FFS - not a snog. Last week he was slagging off Little Mix.Last month it was Daniel Craig daring to carry his child in a sling. Any opportunity for self-publicity.
Maybe its up to the family to decide how they greet and show each other affection. Personally my family have always been cheek kissers but we are Italian so that kind of makes sense but no even as a kid we weren't kissed on the lips. Weird to other people maybe but it really isn't a big deal. Piers Morgan is just doing what he does, getting a reaction and keeping himself "relevant".
I'd like to give a response to Piers Morgan. Stop protesting silly c**p just to keep your name in the papers. No matter how much you try to revive your career, it is still headed down the toilet. And if you keep it up we, as the collective public, may just have to flush to get rid of the turd you are.
The world has changed. My father never said "I love you" to us unless we were going to be gone for a few months at a time. We knew he did but he hardly said it. He said his parents never once told him. When I started dating my husband I was thrown off by how much his family and he touched. It took me years to get use to how often he hugged, touched, and kissed me. My family had a large bubble and showed very little physical affection and limited emotional affection, but the strange thing is that I believe I felt equally as loved as my husband did as a child. Different families just have different ways of showing love. My family showed theirs through endless sarcasm and mocking, we couldn't say we loved you, but we all felt loved regardless. To each their own, do what feels right for you. Kiss, hug, or mock to your hearts desire.
I'm 36, and I still kiss my mom and dad on the lips. I also kiss my 11 y/o son and my 6 y/o daughter on the lips, and will continue to do so until they no longer want to. Some people just need something to b***h about.
I don't think it's weird at all. It's pretty normal, I kiss my child on the lips too. A parent should cuddle, hold and kiss their children as much as possible, especially when they are still small. One day they will be annoyed by such acts of love, you should enjoy it while you can.
People just have their own point of views, some are pure love, some are malicious. It all depends on what they might think about it, people also kisses their pets in the lips and dogs even licks them but nobody bats an eye right? just be open minded and grow up.
I kissed my son on the lips and told him I loved him every day of his life. So glad I got to do that for 23 years and right before he walked out of the house and died in a car accident. Wish I could do it a million more times.
At least one of you has a contagious disease, or your kid doesn´t want to kiss you back, I don´t see nothing wrong with this. My 6yo daughter sometimes wants to kiss me on the lips and sometimes wants to kiss my cheek. It´s on her and it´s ok.
Considering that there used to be a thing called "socialist fraternal kiss" which meant socialist leaders kissed each other on the lips in greeting (most notably Erich Honecker and Leonid Brezhnev), somehow, first degree relatives doing that doesn't seem too noteworthy...
I kiss my 4 yr old son everyday multiple times just never know if something will happen. I want my last encounter to be with my child to be filled with love and kisses.
And hereunder there is the epitome of Piers Morgan's hypocrisy... Being "weird" to promote himself. So it's good when it does it, but bad when others do... Capture-5c...7e314b.jpg
My most special kiss was my mum- had to stay with her for 8 hours because the Dr couldnt send someone out to provide a death certificate. This sounds bad but- hope it doesnt sound bad - i spent the 8 hours forever looking in on her - massaged her with favorite body lotion, mum smelled beautiful when the undertakers came
I have absolutely no problem with friends or family directly kissing my cheek or giving me cheek kisses on both sides (La Bise). Although I mainly view this as a greeting more than a sign of affection. Most of the people I know that kiss their friends and/or family do that. However, kissing on the hand and forehead are typically reserved for courtship (or for adults kissing their adolescent kids) which typically is a sign of affection. Kissing on the lips, the neck, or any other part of the body is typically reserved for romantic or sexual partners, which is also typically a sign of romantic or sexual interest. The exception to this is a quick puckered "Peck Kiss" on the lips which lasts for only 1 second and is used to show affection from parents to their young children and between young kids. I think this is how most North Americans view kissing in our culture. WHAT AGE, WHERE, HOW, and for HOW LONG you kiss someone is important as well as the INTENT behind it. I don't believe for a second that a father/mother simply kissing their kids and showing them love and affection is creepy, wrong, or the main issue here. It's where they're kissing their kids, how they're kissing their kids, and for how long they're kissing their kids that I believe people have an issue with. In North America, we don't like to blur the lines and make things unnecessarily complicated or confusing (case in point why we have an obsession with grouping people and things and applying labels to them). We don't want to accidentally blur the lines between kissing your romantic partner on the lips and then kissing your family and friends on the lips. Because from an outward appearance without much context, they appear to be one and the same.
Both my parents kissed me on the lips when I was a kid. I'm now 28 and they still do. Me and my sister kiss on the lips as well. Nothing wrong or weird about that. What we should worry about is some people finding it weird - maybe THEY have dirty thoughts towards children?
I'm a father of 2, a 3 and a half year old daughter, and 1 and a half year old son. I kiss them both on the lips, because I love them and they like to give kisses. I'm not ashamed of the fact that I love my kids, and don't see why I shouldn't kiss either of them until they are a little bit older, then I'll still kiss them on the cheek
In my family we are not really prone to show our feelings. We rarely kiss and hug each other. Being raised this way, I can't imagine myself kissing my (hypothetical) child on the lips. Still, I don't see anything wrong in Beckham's behaviour. It is not like he tried to sexualize his daughter. Every family has its own way of showing feelings. They are more emotional than I am but there is nothing wrong with it. The girl looks happy and totally ok with this situation, she is not trying to avoid her father's lips, moreover - she looks like she is having fun. If so, I see no problem here.
My Mom still kisses me on the lips. The f**k, thats my Mom. For her I'll stay 6 years old anyway. Dirty minds of other poeple ruin a healthy platonic-motherly/fatherly relationship. That dude should get his s**t together.
Piers Morgan is engaging in the time honored tradition of contrarism usee by aging and less relelvant celebrities so they can book work. He's hooking all of you into his game of "15 minutes of fame" and it's working.
Piers is an idiot. The parents kissing their kids and other things in private and keeping it 'secret', are the ones who we need to watch. These kids don't have a problem with being kissed by their parents...why should he...or anyone else?

I kissed my kids on their lips until they were around 8. I still kiss them on their heads and cheek now, and they are 18, 19 and 20. Get over it. There’s no perversion there.
In my world it is not ever done...I have seen parents do it, but it is totally a no-no how I was raised, and I have never done this...with any of my little ones.
I am almost 20 and still kiss my mommy. She deserves It because she is the best for me. <3
What? What kind of weird little pervert is this guy? I've never heard of him before but he sounds like a real a*s-hat. It's totally natural to kiss your kids on the mouth. I never did that with my parents, but then again they weren't big on the physical love. My son was the first to initiate lots of kisses and he always wants a kiss on the lips so I oblige. It's just natural
I used to peck my dogs on the lips - other than when they had just eaten (they were my kids). He would probably find something perverted with that also. Affection for god's sake

Piers Morgan is the one promoting himself here as a guy who doesn't have anything good to do with his life apart from being bitter and b****y. If he thinks it's creepy to kiss your children, he's actually the creepy one for thinking it's creepy because for sure he has other thoughts in his head that are far creepier than the words he says on social media. He needs a potato.
I find it disturbing that people are so involved in this. Who gives a sh*t about what a child and parent does to show affection for one another?
Oh also I would have given ANYTHING to have a father that showed affection to me that would have been amazing and in my opinion if you don't like it then don't do it but certainly don't talk down to another man for showing his child he loves her in a completely healthy appropriate way!!!
David and Harper Beckham have always seemed ultra close (although he seems equally close to his boys). I don't see one thing wrong with them kissing like that. If anything, it's really sweet that she adores him so much. That one dad was right, Piers Morgan is a tit.
Piers Morgan is a troll with power. He's say's things with the sole intent of upsetting people. It's apparently the only way he has of staying relevant.
Someone should just shut Pierce Morgan down. I don’t read or watch anything he is in. Disgusting dude. #standwithbecham I kiss my kids on the lips. My daughter, when she got a bit older, she started to turn up her cheek or present her forehead instead and that’s how we roll now. My son still kisses me on the lips and I will let him as long as he’s comfortable with it. They are my flesh and blood, I would die for them. I wouldn’t even p**s in the direction of the pierce morgans of this world.
I used to like Piers Morgan, but he's become such a d**k lately ...
As the father of a young girl I see no harm in this. I do the same thing because there is no limit to a parent's love for their child. Plus I think a father should be a young girl's male model, I doubt any man will ever love and treat her the same way I do. It's just the problem with most people nowadays, it's so easy to criticize others that they do it unconsciously.
f**k this, it IS creepy. Just kiss on the cheek. Lips are reserved for lovers. They eat out their wives then go and kiss their daughters on the lips. I don't care what anyone says (and i don't know who this piers dude is) but f**k off, why are we trying to normalise kissing your kids on the lips?
Simple solution to all these discussions: Stop posting pictures of your familylife on social media.
That's only going to happen If the child is underaged and the person she's kissing is a pedophile. But generally kids don't go around kissing people on the lips. Of course you can go the other mile and make everything that kids do "a sexual thing". Like sitting on someone's lap, giving a hug or even just saying "I love you". As kids often do.
