Labradors and Golden Retrievers are the most popular dogs in so many countries across the world, and it’s easy to see why. They are loads of fun, people-oriented, obedient yet curious and have a sharp intelligence that still shines through beneath their hilariously goofy nature.
Originating in Newfoundland, where they were first bred to help fishermen and hunters retrieve their nets and catch, Labradors are now commonly used as guide dogs and comfort animals for the disabled. Golden Retrievers are very similar to Labs, with slight differences between British, American, and Canadian types. They are all high-energy dogs, so they need plenty of exercise! They do love a cuddle as well though, and are always eager to please their humans. That's why we love them so much!

I can't even see it that clearly (could just be its markings), but I'm sure whoever was caring for them was aware... kittens sometimes get sick, you take them to the vet, and they hopefully get better. So I'm not sure what your point is?

We have the same lifejacket for our standard poodle. When he had tail surgery, he wouldn't leave the wound alone, no matter how big of a collar he had. At wits' end, we put on his Outwardbound Life Jacket and it was just enough to limit his flexibility so that he couldn't get at his wound. So, in fact, it did save his life, just not in the water!

Also, my dog was svelte until he hit around 8 years old - and suddenly chubbed out! No difference in diet or exercise, and my vet said it was just weight-related metabolism changes. He's lost about 5lbs of that weight, but is still chubby @ 12 years old now.

This was my Golden Retriever, at age 6 weeks and for the rest of his life. He'd go belly down in a tiny puddle when he was a puppy.

Oh my heavens.....I have rarely seen a more adorable picture. I can't believe how good that is. Now WHY would someone choose a puppy or dog with those schmushed faces that fart too much and can't breath right or a Chinese crested or even an English Bull Terrier or especy the Neapolitan Mastiff when they could choose a face like this? I'm not saying you couldn't love those dogs, but why go that route when you could have this?

Good human. Suggestion: take him for casual walks and waits in the vet clinic waiting room. Get him used to the places. so when he has to go it will be familiar already = less stress on you and him.

Most of my dogs have loved going to the vet. They get to see some nice hoomins who pet them, AND get a treat! They normally don't even notice the vaccination, as it's quickly followed with a treat 😉

dont want to disturb this moment but it might be harmfull to the pups. The younger they are, the more they are at risk to be squished by their mothers. Our husky Kira lost one of her babies this way (they are crawling anywhere where it is dark and warm)

After an organ transplant I was moved to an in patient physical rehab hospital. They had several therapy dogs. Some went to the rooms of the immobile patients and once a week in the music room they had a Goldie a small group got to play w for an hour. I was so excited for my first day. But I wasn't allowed bc my immune system was so weak. I probably looked like a lunatic with my nose against the window out in the hallway sobbing and watching everyone having the best time ever lol cruel! So many Goldie puppies!
