When the sun goes to sleep and stars decorate the sky, little eyes in shadows awake. They stretch their wings, make a big yawn, and fly into the moonlight. Or at least that’s what you would expect from bats, right? How about if instead of flying into the night, they go to the kitchen and bake a chocolate pie? Or make a pizza and have a movie night?

Well, that’s definitely what a cuddly bat couple, Luna and Shadow, would do. Are you getting curious? Then let us peek together into their cute little world.

Cuddly Bats comics are mostly inspired by everyday life, by those funny little events that trigger inspiration for a story. They all start as a sketch, and later if I still like the concept, they are turned into a fully finished comic that I do my best to work on during a certain period of time.

The time I need to finish them varies depending on how complex the story is. But usually, they can be completed in a day or two. The most fun part for me of course is creating these comics and playing with the expressions and emotions of the characters I'm portraying.

Their adorable silly faces and goofy actions always make me smile and it's nice to see that they have the same effect on other people as well. This is a huge motivation for me. It is nice to see when people connect with the characters and remember those cute little moments of their lives and hopefully you will like them too.

I love that it's a little moon instead of a sun because they are bats.

How it all started? I began my art journey as a graphic designer, but my love for cute and funny illustration was always present. I wanted to try making comics even if it was just for fun. So at the end of 2020 I created my first Cuddly Bats comic. It was simple and the personalities of the characters had not been fully developed yet, but the more time I spent creating these comics, the more I knew this was something I wanted to do. To create heartwarming illustrations that can make people laugh and fill their hearts with happiness.

So if you are someone who would like to start making comics I advise you to just do it. Start drawing and designing your world. See what genre and style is right for you and, most importantly, have fun with it. Because in the end, if you like creating your comics, readers will feel that too.

These are a bit old-fashioned. Girl bakes cookies all the time and then goes on a diet. We don't all relate to cooking perfect bakery to be a nice girl while boyfriend works 🤦🏼‍♀️ The cute drawing style doesn't cover the propaganda saying I should focus on baking and kitchen and let my husband rule the world with other men. In Finland boyfriends may bake for us while we go out and be prime ministers and professors n stuff.

But he made the pudding in this one. And she's drawing in a lot of these, which I assume means she's an animator or artist of some sort. That could be her career, which means we're seeing her work too. She's also eating in a lot of these, so it's not like she constantly diets. And nowhere does it say all women bake or diet, but it's okay to if that's what you want. Both men and women have the freedom to choose what they want in life, as do these cartoon bats. I understand what you're saying and normally I'd agree, but probably shouldn't take this comic so seriously. You don't need to relate to everything you read.
