26 Times Kids Realized Their Parents Were Cooler Than Them And Shared These Pics For A New TikTok Challenge

Great...remind people that the ravages of time have made them old and ugly.

These folks still look good, just naturally older—-though I swear a couple of them have not aged a day since the younger picture was taken! If you start taking care of yourself when you’re young, you get a great payoff when you get older. So, eat properly, exercise, get enough sleep, don’t sleep in your makeup, watch your sun exposure, stay hydrated, don’t be a chronic party animal, watch your alcohol intake, avoid recreational drugs, and do your best to manage stress. The younger you start, the greater the payoff.

I have a pic of my mom with her hair dyed red, in a white mini and thigh-high boots, and, yes, she was way cooler than I ever was.

Why do parents feel the need to tell their children that they had all the girls/boys in their time? (Really how does that come about in a conversartion?). And why wouldn' their children not believe them?

my fav pic of my dad isn't when he was a teen; he's about 12. have always been told that, as the youngest of 6, he would help w/chores then disappear into the woods for hours. his mom didn't worry as all she did was send the dog after him to call him home. he ended up being analyst for govt. very quiet/stoic but incredibly thoughtful. that young pic shows a young face with old eyes-like he is contemplating the universe and has some of the answers. love that man & so fortunate to be 63 w/a dad still living and sharing his life with me.

This is cool and all, but most of them were just... Young.

And you know what? Eventually, you too will look totally different and your "descendants" will not believe anything you tell them about yourself. Time marches on and, generally, right across your face and body.

Every one of those parents followed the ‘I was hot once’ with ‘and then *you* happened’

This thread is making me realise how unattractive and unpopular I was younger.

I think these kids never though of their parents as once young and wild :)

My parents were both popular and attractive in their younger days, but I wasn't surprised by this cause I had seen photos. My grandparents were also very attractive when they were young.

This is a great post. It's nice to be reminded that one was 'cool' in ones earlier years. Nothing wrong with that. Getting older doesn't have to mean one gets uglier. Some of these people gained a lot of weight. That also changes a person. It's up to each individual to decide how they want to look as the years go by. I doubt anyone is forcing them to change except the natural aging process which is not a bad thing. We all looked different in our earlier years, but not all of us were "hot" back then either. It's nice that there are parents who thought they were hot in their younger years !!!

Good post panda! I’m happy you didn’t call them misogynistic or bridezillas! Or call them sexist for saying they were a ladies man. Good job
