Bored Panda reached out to Maria to find a little bit more about her inspiration for art.

"I’ve loved writing and drawing since childhood, and never wanted to stop. My inspiration comes from wandering around and observing, being endlessly curious, and wondering what my dog would say to me if he could talk."

As we mentioned previously, Maria Scrivan is a New York Times bestselling author and award-winning syndicated cartoonist. Given that she had released two graphic novel series, one of them being "Nat Enough" (Scholastic/Graphix), which launched on April 7th, 2020, and was an instant New York Times Bestseller, and then the sequel, "Forget Me Nat," which published the following September.

Her amazing work has appeared in many publications including MAD Magazine, Highlights, National Lampoon, American Bystander, Parade Magazine, Wired, Prospect Magazine, Macmillan Books, Funny Times, Mashable.com, and even HuffingtonPost.com. Are any of these familiar to you? Because we can surely recognize some big names.
