Lots of drinking then. Also, why are some photos taken from an angle that looks like the person is on their knees? And why are those people pretty much all women? If anyone has a genuine answer, I'd like to know. Isn't the best angle head-on?

That last part of your comment is objectively false. There are lots of lists on this site that have people who are only famous among certain groups, but most of the people on this particular list are known worldwide.
