Imagine how you might feel if your wildest and most wonderful fantasies were brought to life. That’s probably how a child would feel if their drawings of strange and wondrous characters were turned into real-life plush toys, which is exactly what Budsies does.
Budsies (just like Childs Own, which we wrote about earlier) takes children’s drawings and reinterprets them as 16-inch-tall hypoallergenic plush toys – but they’ll take playful adults’ drawings, too.
Budsies.com’s founder, Alex Furmansky, answered some of Bored Panda’s questions about their plushies, so read on for more!

“The very first Budsie was made for my little sister Michelle,” Alex Furmansky told Bored Panda. “She named it “Dongler” for the antenna that seems to ‘dongle’ on his head”
“The second Budsie was a 4-legged duck that Michelle named ‘Footsie.’ Then we made a few for our friends and family. The kids and the parents LOVED them so we began to expand”
“My favorite projects are the ones with a story behind them – ones where we truly make an impact on the recipient’s family. For example, we had a family where a child was undergoing cancer treatments and drew a picture of her mother as a superhero”
“Or the time we made a Budsie Selfie of a military dad so his child could give him a hug even when he was away on deployment. Or the drawing of a grandma who recently passed away that was given to the mother to help her mourn”
“These Budsies are just so emotional and so rewarding for us to work on. We still get super super happy when parents post a picture of their happy child with their Budsies”
Thank you, Alex Furmansky, for talking to Bored Panda about your product. We look forward to seeing what you guys come up with next!

This company should do something with Make-A-Wish Foundation or Dana Farber so that sick children can have something they created....
