These Twin Sisters Look Totally Different

Lucy and Maria Aylmer are about as close as two twin sisters can get, but you’d never guess it just from looking at them – Lucy has fair skin and straight red hair while her sister has ebony, curly hair and dark skin. The twin girls, both from Gloucester, U.K., were born to a Caucasian father (Vince) and a half-Jamaican mother (Donna).
The unidentical twins also called dizygotic or fraternal twins, happen when two different eggs are fertilized by two different sperms at the same time. Meaning, that this type of twins is basically just regular siblings, that happened to be born at the same time, hence these two beautiful girls’ completely different looks.
“No-one ever believes we are twins because I am white and Maria is black,,” Lucy said. “Even when we dress alike, we still don’t even look like sisters, let alone twins. When we’ve met friends for the first time, they never believe we are twins, and they have even made us produce our birth certificates to prove that we are actually twins.”

Gotta love genetics!!! They have similar bodies though. If you look at their legs you'll see that their knees are very similar.
I thought their noses were very similar as well.

Years ago, I had an absolutely beautiful looking friend. Her mom was a tall and fairly large German lady and her dad was smaller and Indonesian. I first knew her before I met her parents and assumed she looked like her dad. But nope. She was the spitting image of her mom but diminutive and with golden skin and an exotic look. Just because an offspring inherits the racial profile of one parent doesn't mean they wouldn't look like the other. Love how genetics work!
I also noticed their legs being very very similar. :)

Some people have naturally straight hair. I mean, she obviously did straighten it, but her hair might also be naturally straight.

Really?? This is a story? Newsflash...Not all twins are identical!!! Some are actually fraternal. They develop from 2 different eggs. They can even be the opposite sex of each other.

I can see the resemblance. Once you move past the obvious, of course, you can certainly detect the many similarities.
Except for the hair and the skin tone, they don't actually look totally different.
