7 First Photos Reveal How Emma Watson Will Look As Belle in “Beauty And The Beast”
233Kviews
Good news for all you Disney fans out there: the first pictures of Emma Watson as Belle from Beauty and the Beast have just been released, and as you can see, she looks just as magical as you’d expect!
The pictures were shared by Entertainment Weekly on Wednesday and feature all of the main characters that you know and love from the original. As well as Emma Watson’s Belle, who is seen wearing the Disney princess’s famous yellow dress, there’s also Gaston (played by Luke Evans), Cogsworth, Plumette, and, of course, the Beast (played by Dan Stevens). The film is scheduled for a US release on 17 March 2017 so I guess we’re all just going to have to be patient until then. Is it March yet? (h/t: Entertainment Weekly)

I'm sorry, but she's terribly expresionless... She was much cuter and better acting as a child rather than when she grew up

Its so true, they have really ruined the movie of the classic fairy tale I love the MOST by casting her as Belle; I mean seriously the actress playing the Beauty should at least look pleasant, with some innocence charm. WHY HER!???? OMG I'm crying over here...
Is it me or she looks really bored?

She pretty much always looks like that.
A lot of people are complaining about Emma Watson. Currently I don't have a solid opinion on her until I can see more video clips. But I am loving the general aesthetic of the whole thing! Very Baroque.

Watch Emmy Rossum in Phantom of the Opera to help solid up your opinion.
To me Belle is warm, innocence, a bit naive and friendly young woman who loves to dream and let her imagination run wild. Well, Emma Watson gives her almost angry, cold and souless expression. I can't see charming smile in her lips or dreams living in her eyes. I'll hope the movie proves me wrong and Emma Watson will be glorious.

Emmy Rossum would have been glorious. Do yourself a favour and don't pay to see this travesty.
Sher Telfer, why so obssessed about Rossum? Go make a movie of your own and stop telling people what to do. FYI these posters have been theatrically made for advertisement, they're not the entire movie. Duh!
Does anyone else think the yellow dress looks like an early 2000s prom dress?
why she looks very Kristen Stewart - ish on this photos?
so disappointed with the leading stars emma watson as belle?she's pretty but she's not that perfect match to play the role of belle..belle is an example of perfection.beauty and with a golden heart!beaty and the beast is my no.1 fairytales but now!huh oid rather wish to be it plays in cartoon character rather than watching emma as belle!she didnt deserve the role!id rather choose kristen stewart than her.all her pictures she doesnt look beauty!she looks like old woman!
I for one am looking forward to this. Is it going to also have music and singing like the cartoon did?
I believe it will since their basing it off of the original motion picture;)
Ah I can't wait!
I don't think she's good for this part.
Actually there are only 5 photos that reveal how she looks. Otherwise I like that image the most where she is dressed as a teapot.
Hmm, so many negative comments. Personally, I'm looking forward to it. EmmaW lends towards looking serious in her acting, but she's always been able to carry out her character. I should have faith! Go Belle!
I'm very sorry to see so many negative reactions to this. Seriously, how can you form an opinion of the whole film/casting of Belle on the basis of a few stills and some very short teasers. I am not saying you CANNOT be negative about the film, that is up to you. But I think it's a shame that it's shot down before it's even in cinema's. Take a breath and wait for the finished product and THEN form your opinion.
i believe we should just wait and see people !!! chill !
It's an outrage that they messed up such a massively iconic fairytale with horrible casting, so no we shall not chill
Blah blah blah Sher Telfer... say what you will. This movie will make a million bucks despite you whining your little aft off.
I dont really get the belle vibe with emma watson. Like someone said not the dreamy kind naieve vibe. Still I hope that the movie proves me wrong.
Remind me some beautiful memories of childhood 😆😁
Emma's so beautiful <3
She is so gorgeous!
Big fan of the story myself! She looks adorale in this dress like real princess!!! Maybe everyone are relating Emma with Harry Potter movies and can't accept her in a different role, but I think we should give her a chance :)
Yeah, no. Sorry, but no.
Casting for the heroine is as bad as 50 Shades and Twilight. Is this all they had that auditioned?
I can't wait until this movie comes out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sooooo excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
She seems like a smart person and a good actress but she does not fit as Belle for me and never could. Neither by appearance, voice or expressions. Simple as that. Not to mention all this remaking is just a cash cow over nostalgia and lacks imagination. The cartoons were amazing, allowing it to remain a fairy tale; I believe the movie can only ruin it, no matter the detail on the set. It also sucks that move stars are almost always cast by celebrity status rather than by actually being the best for the role. I won't watch this as I really don't need one of my favourite Disney cartoons ruined.
How Emma Watson will look? Seriously? How will the guy playing Gaston look? How about the guy playing the Beast? How will Kevin Kline look playing Maurice? Who gives a f*ck?
hermoine playing BELLE. suure they have similar personalities, but no. she can't stupfey gaston. ew. Anyways, the dress is nice I guess.
Hasn't she played good old beauty and the beast with Ron Weasley?))
Also, the supporting characters look really crap
What a massive mistake casting her over Emmy Rossum. Deeply hope the movie bombs at the box office
Wasn't it supposed to be BEAUTY and the beast? Where's bella Bella?
Okay so this is a story of a girl held captive by a horned freak helped by his fraky house servants. she develops Stockholm syndrome and everyone's complaining about the casting and wardrobe?
People need to stop equating it to "Stockholm syndrome". She's obviously not into the Beast until they start interacting on a pretty equal level.
This movie is gonna suck. Not because of Emma, though.. Because Disney would rather bastardize old glories than try to create new content. Leave your previous works untainted and in the past. There are other fairy tales, myths, and lore you could explore, Disney. Good for anyone who can get any joy from these Live Action takes on old animated classics, because i can't.
I think some of them are enjoyable - I liked the Jungle Book one when I wasn't a big fan of the animated original, but the whole idea of remaking them JUST so that they are in live action is really bizarre and unnecessary to me. I think I might end up liking this one a bit better, because I bet they'll tone down the goofiness of the inanimate object characters. I feel like I'm the only one who ever holds this opinion, but I really disliked most of them.
There was already a live action Jungle Book movie released in 1994. So yes, Disney does need to be more original in my opinion also. The inanimate object characters were meant to be goofy as it's a kids movie and the comedy was part of their charm. The new ones look sad to me.
I agree with you that Disney should focus more on new content and stop messing with the classics. However this movie will definitely also suck because of very bad casting and character design choices.
