"I'm from Shelbyville, IN. I've been a photographer for almost 11 years although I first learned how to use a film camera as a child and have always loved the art of photography." Amy told Bored Panda about her enduring passion. "I'm also a nurse, though I'm not currently working as one, I'm a full-time photographer now."

"While working as an ER nurse I often felt like so much was out of our hands. We could do everything possible to save someone but sometimes it just wasn't enough, no matter how hard we tried. I always felt a calling to photography because I felt like it was a way to create tangible memories for people and a way to "help" others even in the most helpless situations. I love to use my photography as a way to give-back to others."

"I remember sitting with a parent who had lost her most precious gift and wishing I could give her something in that moment. That's when I truly realized I wanted to pursue my love of photography. I love that I've been fortunate enough to capture so many milestones and memories for my clients and it means the world to me. Some of my clients have welcomed me into the most intimate moments of their lives and I'm so honored.  I know in my heart this is what I was meant to do!"

"The biggest difference between working with newborns and other clients is the amount of patience it takes. You have to be extremely patient with newborns and it takes a lot of time to capture them in those perfect little positions. I tell other photographers all the time that if you don't truly love the art of newborn photography, don't do it. You have to absolutely have a passion for it in order to have the patience and dedication that it takes."

"For the' babies with teeth' series, I saw someone post a photo of their child using Faceapp and decided to try it on a few of my photos. When I realized how absolutely hysterical it was I just had to share with my followers!"

"I've made it my mission to try to always put positive and heartwarming content in my followers' news feeds. I feel like we are all bombarded with negativity and the depressing parts of the world we live in, and I love it when I have the chance to make people laugh and smile and forget all of that for a moment. I felt like these photos were a perfect way to do just that."
