I worked with an old lady who looked like she was cut in half at the waist then rejoined 2 inches to her left. She had gotten polio as a child and it twisted her spine. I think she would have gotten the vaccine if it was available to her. I'm surehher son did.

When I go in for my "old man appointment" my physician spends 30-40 minutes and covers everything. Appointments typically last an hour and 10 minutes. Six months ago I went in and we talked about all kinds of stuff. My blood test came back with skyrocketed PSA (bad sign) but he remembered my telling him that I had run tractor the day prior and did another test, normal. The guy picks up the important stuff just from our chit chat.

Last summer I came down with the most awful rash I had ever had. Suddenly my belly and my forearms were covered and the itch was indescribable, like wake you up at night itch. I went to the Dr and his NP came in to do the vitals and I had to fuss at her about wearing gloves, no telling what it was. The physician came in, took a look at my belly and poked at my arms, laughed and said "poison ivy". Less than 5 minutes. No need for a specialist. 😂

So many people are ready to take up swords over gluten, "if it's not bad for you it wouldn't make people sick"! If you have a sensitivity to ANYTHING it's not good for you but just because Dorothy is diagnosed celiac doesn't mean you have sensitivity to it. 🙄

"The doctor diagnosed the patient in 15 minutes they are a fraud" No, they likely spent 20+ minutes reviewing the patients file and have 10+ years of experience with evaluating and treating this condition. You would not expect a student to take the same amount of time to write a thesis or solve a math problem after ten years of studying and experience, right? .

My next door neighbor is a sweet elderly lady. I once saw her mopping the carpet in front of her door in the apartment hallway. It struck me as weird, but I'm not so sure now.

I love her, she gave me a hug.
