Some early paintings done from descriptions of African wildlife are hilarious. Artist would take the explorers descriptions and go from there. Makes you wonder how far we really are off on what T-Rex really looked like... I say it was a giant bat like creature and the small arms just lack the long bat fingers and web wings because that didn't fossilize.
