These scary animals are not zombies. For most creatures of the animal kingdom, even the fiercest carnivore, the calories of a sweet berry might be too tasty to resist. The strawberries and raspberries pictured here are safe for most of these scary monsters to chomp.
If you have berries or fruits in your backyard and find some funny animals acting strangely in the autumn or early winter, they might be drunk! Alcohol forms in berries and fruits as they ferment with the first frosts and animals that eat them have been known to get a little tipsy.

Yes this is a tortoise the one above is an Eastern Box turtle. They live on land for the most part but do swim. I used to have one as a pet.
