Schumer’s been very open about the weight loss aids she’s tried, and the plastic surgery procedures she’s undergone.
According to a video post on her IG page this past March, Schumer is now taking Mounjaro, one of several GLP-1 medications originally marketed for diabetes but that are now popular weight loss medications.
She made the comment about Mounjaro while talking about other health care measures she’s now taking, including those to help treat her perimenopause.

She said that doctors: “put me on estrogen and progesterone because I realized I was in perimenopause and my symptoms from being perimenopausal have disappeared.”
Schumer added that her hair was fuller, her skin was better and that her s*x drive was stronger. Then she said casually, “So that’s been great and Mounjaro’s been great.”

In an appearance on the Howard Stern Show in March of this year, Schumer opened up about her experience with Ozempic.
She said the side effects of being nauseous were just too much to bear.
“So I tried Ozempic almost 3 years ago, and I was like bedridden,” she shared. “I was vomiting. And then you have no energy, Schumer told Stern. “But other people take it and they’re all good. God bless them.”

She talked about how even a simple task like playing with her son became a chore: “I’m in bed and my son’s like, ‘Can you play tag?’ I’m like, ‘I can’t.’ I was shriveling,” Schumer said to Stern.
“A liter of fat sucked out of my belly”: Schumer has also talked about getting lipo

In other interviews with the media, Schumer has talked about her liposuction.
“I wanted to share it with people, just because I can’t lie about myself,” she told Hoda Kotb on the Making Space with Hoda Kotb podcast.

In the interview, Schumer said she felt compelled to tell people the truth, even though she felt guilty for her privilege.
“I was feeling bad because it’s, like, such a privilege thing,” she said. “And I’m like, ‘Well, you know, people with money, they also drive nice cars’ … So, my ‘nice car’ is that I had, you know … a liter of fat sucked out of my belly.”
Regardless of whether they were overweight or not, many celebrities have tried GLP-1 medicine

Amy Schumer is one of many celebrities who’ve been open about their use of weight-loss medicines, with Ozempic and Wegovy being the other two most popular.
From Jessica Simpson to Oprah, celebrities from list A to D have tried GLP-1 weight loss medications with seeming success, whether they were obese in the first place or not.
Unintended side effects like nausea are widely reported.

So are things like “Ozempic face” or “Ozempic hands,” where the user’s face and hands become starkly skinny, a giveaway that they’re taking the medication.
Because GLP-1s are not covered by insurance, taking them is considered a luxury and signifies privilege.
