“Three controversial things I don’t care about as a s*x worker: client edition,” Lucy said as she opened the video, posted earlier this month.
“No. 1 is I do not care what race or weight my clients are,” she said.
When she entered the business, Lucy didn’t realize providers like her rejected clients for various reasons.
“It is actually really common for providers like me to refuse to see clients of a certain race, or a certain weight, or age,” she said.
Lucy went on to explain that these biases could be due to various reasons, including past experiences and personal prejudices.

“Some workers will have multiple bad experiences with a certain demographic, so that means they will just refuse to see the whole demographic,” she told her audience.
“Some workers have been advised to turn down those clients from people that are mentoring them, and some of them just have pre-existing prejudices,” she added.
The content creator then listed some of the ethnic groups that her peers tend to avoid.
“Most common ones that I see all the time are providers refusing to see Black men, Indian men, or any overweight clients,” she said.

Due to the deeply personal and intimate nature of her work, Lucy asserted that providers can have clear boundaries about who they offer their services to.
“It’s important to know that in this job, we work with intimacy, and it’s really important that providers have the ability to turn down any clients they want to for whatever reason they want to,” she said.
“So, I’ll never tell a provider that she needs to see certain clients, but personally, I don’t discriminate against clients for any of those reasons,” she went on to say.
Lucy went on to list the other “controversial things” that she doesn’t care about when it comes to her clients.
“I don’t care if my clients are married or not,” Lucy declared in her video

As for whether her clients are married or not, she said she maintains a not-my-business policy.
“No. 2 is that I don’t care if my clients are married or not,” she said.
“My clients’ personal relationships are not my business,” she continued.
“I don’t know the inner details of my clients’ relationships unless they choose to share that with me. So, I’m never going to judge them for that.”
The third and final item on her list was that she doesn’t “care” if her patrons have seen her online videos before.
“No. 3 is that I do not care if my clients have watched her adult content online,” she declared.

It is common practice for adult workers to “screen” their clients before meeting them for the first time.“I always get them to send me pictures of them, and I send that to two friends who I trust dearly,” adult worker Jordan from Vancouver previously told Vice.
“I also get them to link me to their social media accounts, and if they’re not clearly active or seem fake, I cut them off,” Jordan continued. “I also only take e-transfers and I take it before we meet.”

A 2014 study conducted among adult workers in Singapore confirmed that they have prejudices about their clients.
The workers who participated in the research were from different ethnic backgrounds, including Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese, and more.
They were asked to rate different ethnicities on a scale of 1 (dislike) to 5 (like very much).
A rating of 3 meant the response was “like.”
The respondents consistently give high ratings to Chinese (4.2) and white (3.9) clients, while Bangladeshi and Indian clients received average ratings of 3.1 and 2.1.
One man sparked an online discussion about being rejected based on “race and ugliness”

Earlier this year, a Reddit user sparked a discussion about men being rejected based on their “race and ugliness.”
“I was planning on getting an escort, even found a girl I wanted to finally pay but then I researched what ‘screening’ meant,” he wrote. “…From here, many even reject potential clients if they are brown/black/ugly men. I’m so cooked.”
Many responded in the comments section, with one saying, “Many escorts blanket ban black men… But I’m pretty ugly, and massively overweight, but never had anyone turn me away after sending screening.”
“Im pretty sure most escorts don’t want to have s*x with most of their clients anyway, lol,” another wrote. “They just endure it because they want the money. What you get is a service, not validation or feelings of any kind (which you might already know, but some people take it personal).”

I don't understand why this is a story. S*x workers have prefereces among clients? If course they do. Clients have preferences among s*x workers. None of this seems revelatory
Yeah it’s so strange to post this as a worker too. My bff is a sèx worker and a very good one (sexual safety and her service), in Australia she won’t see Indian men, she said she found them very disrespectful and tried to remove condoms etc during the service. So she stopped seeing them. And to be fair that’s a good reason in the end for safety, she also does the ‘if he is super ugly then no!’ But she will do the disabled community who are into that as most s*x workers won’t service the disabled in her area (I asked why? Some workers just don’t like the lifting out of wheelchair stuff and you have to shower beforehand etc, so I can see why some would say no here too)
Load More Replies...So, Bored Panda will censor words that might "offend" someone but put an article on their site about p**********n. Please someone, make it make sense.
BP will post an obvious ad for this escort, but will censor the word s-e-x?
I haven’t set foot in a church in over 30 years and I donated all my bibles…I wish I could get over the deep feeling of shame over my naked body :( yes I’ve tried therapy and I’m on medication for my moderate to severe anxiety disorder.
I will never shame anyone who makes a living doing this line of work but I gotta say there is no way I could do it! I’ve been married for almost 25 years and I’m still not completely naked in front of anyone…catholic brainwashing is tough to get out :(
Yet another thing where not having social media photos is a potential barrier :(
Nope, it isn't. The main barrier is, not be able to pay. The second one being an arsehole. The third one, having a very nasty personal hygiene.
