Some things about the 80s were cool. Super Mario Brothers. Pac Man. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. But let's face it, many things about the 80s sucked, and nothing sucked more than the sweaters. Anybody who lived through that particular decade will know what we're talking about, but for those of you who missed it, check out these sweaters to see how lucky you are. They come from Wit Knits, a funny Tumblr that posts pictures of sweaters taken from a real knitting pattern book from 1986. The author describes the patterns as "lively and original" - how would YOU describe them? Let us know in the comments!

I have to say, the 80s might have been the decade with the worst taste in the history of humanity (and I remember endless, desperate shopping excursions trying to find a sweatshirt without shoulder pads) but they really were a FUN decade. At least for a teen. And now I have to go listen to some Cindy Lauper.

This can't be from the 80s; not enough of the women are wearing belts over their sweaters. I distinctly remember belts being mandatory over sweaters! XD

SO happy somebody brought this up. There are things coming back in style that are SCARY! They shouldnt have been made the FIRST TIME! Lets not re-visit the clothes of the 80s, PLEASE?! The music was GREAT...clothes, not so much!

Disagree! I want acid wash denim, lace, and BUM Equipment to come back to fashion so much. I also miss fringed jackets and ankle length skirts. As for the hairstyles, they're already coming back.
