I Paint Marine Life To Raise Awareness On Biodiversity And Conservation Of Endangered Species
I have been working since 2014 in a series of paintings called “Marine World” with the aim of raising awareness and educating people about our marine wildlife, especially endangered species. Illustrating how beautiful and colourful they are, is a way of touching people’s hearts. Sometimes we forget and give for granted all we have, unfortunately corporate greed is rapidly destroying all the natural resources, if we continue this way there will be nothing left for future generations.
There is a need for more awareness in the public and more lobby in the government in order to strengthen conservationist policies and restrict the depletion of natural resources.
Art is and has always been part of humanity and it will continue until the end of times. It has the purpose of enjoyment, education and thinking. I have chosen art as a way of expressing myself and to cause impact in small social groups, starting with my family and friends and then expanding to the local community and hopefully on day at a national and international level. “Buy art so that you have something to look at when the battery goes flat on your screens”.
