Either for work or fun, I have drawn every day for as long as I can remember. When in 2012 I gave birth to our newborn baby, it was very natural for me to reach for a pencil and do my funny doodles. It was a wonderful, magical, challenging, knackering first year.
Each day of being a mom seemed to bring with it a new challenge or breathtaking developmental milestone. I didn’t want to forget any of it, even the silliest everyday problems. I’d scribble things down as my baby napped. It was often cathartic to make light of situations that were often challenging at the time. By the end of the first year of having a child, I realized I had amassed quite a pile of funny drawings. Badgered by friends and family, I decided to try and get them published and tell my story of raising a kid.

Sleep training: as baby drifts off, gently remove breast
Having a baby doesn't change you
I absolutely LOVE this one, it's exactly how I remember it ...
The joy of long car journeys
Guests are coming
Getting ready to leave
Sometimes you have to cancel the trip because the baby isn't ready to leave for the rest of the day
Your very smart for doing this and funny but oh so true all of it. My son is 24 now but you never forget the things you are saying.

And the rest of the day is your own
A truly extraordinary poo
My kid did this once. All over the wall, the dresser, herself, me ... and of course, I was late for a doctor's appointment. Good times. :)
I call them poonami, my niece had one when we where using the changing table in a busy mall bathroom it got on the walls, floor everywhere luckily I was spared from the poop wave because I was standing at her side. Needless to say we went straight home.

Breastfeeding in public
Me too. We need to let society knows breast feeding is absolutly normal.
Load More Replies...this is so sad that women feel they have to do a perfectly natural thing in secret in nasty public loos :(
I always breastfeeding every where, inside a shoes store, without buy.in a hotel lobby without be a guest, in IKEA, sitting like I'm at home. Sitting in the bus stop. In a phone store. Wherever have a chair, I cover by breast and a little of baby mouth with a silk litle thing and relax.
This should be a problem. We shouldn't have rights to breastfeed in public because of some button hurt people
Actual torture
How early is too early?
"It's 5:00pm somewhere!" What difference does the time of day make? I never understood that.
you can still make a baby when single....better to use birth control...all the time
we have to many homeless children as it is. people should start adopting.
As an adopted child, let me thank you with all my heart for this statement. THANK YOU!
Load More Replies...Parenting has forced me to learn how to be more emotionally independent. If I want "me" time, I have to take it, not whine for it.
Life with children is so much fun! So much enjoyment! It is worth the battle in the first year.
Unfortunately the ones who don't want kids are more likely to get knocked up after a one night stand/"night shift". Stereotypes DO work.;)
Load More Replies...Was missing one; after a terrible night, I get up to make some important call or things and when I'm finally done and decided to go back to bed,the 4 months baby wake up asking for entertainment. To-ta-lly awake. And with a truly extraordinary poo.
