The portraits of these infamous world leaders give many of us chills. But how about portraits of them holding colourful stuffed toys in their arms? Such queer pictures are unlikely to occur in real life, so Chinese artist Chunlong Sun decided to conduct an experiment and see how it would look if he gave these infamous leaders stuffed toys using his photo retouching skills.
He asked Chinese almost-look-alike stand-ins to pose like 5 world leaders from recent history. In the resulting photographs, the masterfully photoshopped models inspire ambivalent emotions. On one hand, the dictators look somewhat friendlier and softer, gently holding their plushies. However, the longer you look at them, the creepier and more uncomfortable the images get. What kind of emotions do they evoke in you?
