In Italy, they use solar energy (also known as clothes lines) to dry their laundry. They don't seem to mind if all their neighbors and passersby find out that they wash their clothes. It's not just a concern of eating fish in general, the main issue with this is the absolute havoc overfishing does to aquatic environments, fresh or salt water.
